Gorjuss Bag

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for news of my weekend and a Wedding card.

This little Gorjuss girl hasn't been used for a very long time. She's one of the Sugar Nellie stamps which I have coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I've used papers from the Papermania Capsule packs, aqua and heather, one of my fave colour combos. The bag is from Jo-Anns, in USA. Hope I can find some more of these next time I go as they are bigger and much stronger than the ones I bought in Hobbycraft. I also like the fact they are kraft inside. I did pop into Hobbycraft yesterday though and like their new range of small acrylic stamps, only £1 each. I bought 4 of them, so watch this space. Anyway back to my card. The butterfly is from The Works. It's really pretty and sparkly, doesn't show up so well in a photo. I've used Marianne dies for the flowers and leaves.

Vintage Wedding

What a great time we had at the weekend at the two day Village Festival. Great atmosphere, loads of people, 3,500 adults plus children on Saturday and even more on Sunday. It was my best ever event, steady sales both days and would have done even better but it started to rain about 3.30 on Sunday. It left off for a while but then came down heavier so people started to leave and instead of being there until 6pm we all packed up about 4.30 which was a shame but other than that the weather was lovely. All my efforts of the last two weeks certainly paid off and I had lots of compliments about the quality of my cards. I also got an order for 2 doorhangers and a lady who said she will ring me for 5 Christmas bags for her grandchildren. Whether she will or not of course remains to be seen.

Yesterday hubby was off and we had to catch up on things having been out all weekend so sorry I haven't had a chance to catch up with you all. I shall be making a start on bloghopping and crafting today. I haven't made anything for the last 4 days and am itching to get started again.

Today I am sharing a Wedding card I made for somebody I used to work with and have met up with again thanks to Facebook.

Baby weigh in and Commenter's candy

Isn't this such an adorable image from LOTV. It's another of their die cuts which I have teamed with some Basic Grey paper. I've used the cut off strips again as I did with my ship card last week and some organza ribbon. I love these spotted buttons which I have tied with raffia from The Works. Sweet and simple.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and as promised I have randomly chosen one of my regular commenters from last week to win a stamp.

That's you Rachel. Please e-mail me and a Lazy Ellie stamp from Stamposaurus will be on it's way to you. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to comment. I really do appreciate it.

Birds of a feather

It's my last GDT card for The Crafty Pad and our theme this week is Things with wings. I chose this gorgeous bird silhouette. I kept to the bird theme and found this paper, which was sent to me by Janet at The Stamp Basket when I was a guest designer there. It is Prima, Meadowlark I think. It was so pretty with so many different details I kept to one paper for a change. I added a Kars wooden bird, some scrim coloured with Tea Rose Flexmarkers, ribbon, Fairyopolis rubon greeting and a MB die cut landscape.

Take time to stop and smell the flowers

I've scheduled this post, which is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss, as I will be selling (hopefully) at a large two day local festival. We have been several times as visitors but it is the first time I have had a stall. I will be in a large marquee so hoping for good weather, but not too hot. I'll catch up with you all on Monday.

Birthday Fairy

This is another of the samples I made recently for Stamposaurus. You will find Dottie in the Christmas section but I think she works well all year round. She has been cut out with a Go Kreate Tag die and coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with added Sakura clearstar and bluestar pens for a bit of bling. The paper is Paper Cellar Victorian Classic. I have used a star embossing folder with Core'dinations and sanded it down, ruched up some seam binding and added some flowers and pears. The ribbon is Fizzy Moon, sentiment Lucy Cromwell.

Regular visitors will know what a busy week I have had making cards ready for a two day village festival at the weekend. This has meant I have had less time than usual for blogging and won't be around at all this weekend.. I really do appreciate your visits and have visited as many of you as possible this week. Some of you visit me every day and leave comments and to show my appreciation I will be sending a little something to one of you. I will sort this out on Monday and let you know who the lucky person will be.
Thank you

Thinking of you

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for a vintage card and scroll up to enter my candy.

I've tried something new on this card, using different shades of grey only on the image. It just shows what a contrast you get with using ice greys, cool greys and warm greys, Promarkers of course, I've used DI Iced Spruce around the edges. I wanted to contrast that with a lovely warm colour. Not sure which pad the orange paper came from, the flowered paper is from the V&A pad. The flowers are from Michaels, some of these in my candy along with a larger version of this cute stamp, Lazy Ellie, from Stamposaurus.Tag sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

Steampunk Time

I had a really good day yesterday with the cardmaking, 12 cards and a gift bag. Feeling good now about the amount of stock I have for the weekend festival. I could do with a few more gift bags, large cards and vintage cards like this one if I have time. Hubby is off work today so we need to give the conservatory a thorough clean from top to bottom and may go out later so not much will get made today.

I love making this style of card and they sell well too. I have used Bo Bunny Timepiece paper, penny farthing rubon from America, Tim Holtz steampunk  on the edge die, clock embossing folder, DI Vintage Photo, distress tool and metal gears, Jolee's metal corner scroll and a clock charm from Wild Orchid. I used Core'dinations with the embossing folder, sanded it down and then used DI Vintage Photo.

Hannah's Birthday

This is my second post for today.

I made this card for a friend's daughter's 22nd Birthday which is today so I can now share it with you. Krista's fabulous images work so well with jazzy hair colours and as Hannah currently has red hair I wanted to colour her hair red. I've used Promarkers and Flexmarkers, more odds and ends of papers, MS PATP double loop punches, TH distress tool, DI Lipstick Red and Black Soot, Marianne flower dies, brad and padded heart from stash.

I adore these LOTV couples and they make great Anniversary cards, I'm afraid it's another die cut as I don't have time for colouring all my cards this week. I've used DI Vintage Photo and Basic Grey Capella papers, TH distressing tool, a couple of MB dies with kraft card and some pearl hearts I found in my stash.

Good Luck Cats

This is my second post today. Please scroll down for a cute Ellie card.

I am still beavering away to get ready for the weekend. Hope I get plenty of customers after all this cardmaking. Today's card was made using one of the LOTV die cuts. It's such a cute image but not a stamp I would buy as I wouldn't get enough use out of it. That's where the die cuts are so handy. I've used some more papers from my slowly decreasing odds and ends paper pile. I've used DI Black Soot, some ribbon and pearls from stash and a bow from a recent challenge win.

Return from the sea

Hope you are all enjoing this gorgeous sunshine which has finally come our way. I have a fairly simple but I think very effective card to share today. I have used an image from Delicious Doodles, which I love. The paper is from my use up stack. I love to use striped way this way, by using the two strips which I cut off and which are normally thrown away. Use them on your base paper by lining the stripes up the opposite way. I added a Craftwork Cards sentiment, baker's twine and a charm from EBay.

This is my second post for today. It's been lovely having a weekend off from craft fairs, as much as I love doing them. Met friends for lunch yesterday and spent the day at Springfields shopping outlets today. Bit of retail therapy and another lovely lunch. Not much time for crafting or blogging this weekend so must crack on tomorrow as only have this week left to make more stock ready for the big two day festival next weekend.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

No, not my Winter Wonderland DT card but my GDT card for this week's interactive challenge at The Crafty Pad. I have never made an interactive card before apart from a circle slider from a CD and I found that difficult. However thanks to a mag tutorial I found this slider card easy. Just to prove it works

here's teddy walking with his snowman. The papers are from The Snowman pad. I found the chipboard embellishment in my stash and thought it was perfect for this card. a much simpler design than usual for me but the style of card means not many embellishments are needed I think.

First Christmas Bag

Friday means another challenge at Winter Wonderland and this week we have a colour challenge for you. Squirrel is our lovely host this week and our sponsor is Lili of the Valley with a £10 voucher, wish I could win that. So, we want to see pink and/or lilac and aqua and/or green. So you can choose to use two colours, pink or purple and aqua or green or three or even all four. I have chosen pink, purple and aqua, such a yummy combo. I decided to make a start on Christmas bags.

Playing with some new stash

Now here's a very different card for my second card today. I had 2 lovely parcels arrive this week, one from Simon Says and one from Wild Orchid. Both were winnings, but I did of course spend a bit more than the vouchers. Well, you have to make the postage costs worthwhile don't you. I was so inspired by the inspiration challenge at Allsorts that I thought I would make a card just using die cuts and flowers. The paper is Papermania  Happy Days. I've used kraft card and DI Vintage photo, Tim Holtz clock die, new MB bird and cage dies from Simon Says, ticket from Craftwork Cards, stamped with Kanban stamps which I found at the Range recently, Woodware punched leaves and flowers from Wild Orchid where the challenge is shabby chic. I ordered the new limited edition Autumn Promarkers today from Joanna Sheen, only £9.99 and free postage, bargain. They look really lovely colours too. I would like to enter this into the challenge of going round in circles at Joanna Sheen.

She is in the Christmas section but of course can be used all year round. I have coloured her with Promarkers and Sakura pens for sparkle. Here's another of the cards I made yesterday. I love these large LOTV diecuts, shame they don't make them anymore as they are perfect for 8 x 8 cards. I have used DI Tattered Rose and Sakura Rosestar on the hearts for a bit of sparkle. The papers and ribbon are Papermania Confetti. Of course I covered up most of the lovely ribbon! I used a Tim Holts on the edge die and MB Sofia Heart with kraft card. The wooden embelies are Kars.

Keep calm and drink tea

I'm back with my second post for today. Popped out to Sainsburys this morning and then have been cracking on in my craftroom and have made 9 cards so far. No colouring, that's my treat this evening, so love my colouring, but have been making cards with pre-coloured digis like this one. The keep calm cards are so popular that I am making several of these. I know some people would make a batch all the same but I like to make every one different even if it just the backing papers. I have used 2 digis from Pink Gem, Papermania Portobello Road papers and some card candi. I made the bunting out of scraps from the paper pad and some navy card.

Twinkle Toes you're a star

A quick post from me as I have lots more crafting to get done today. I am busy getting stock made for a two day event at the end of the month. It is a village festival which is very well attended and my biggest craft fair to date so I need plenty of stock. I am also working on some more samples for Stamposaurus and this is Twinkle Toes. There are 3 gorgeous girls in this range and although they are Christmas images would work well for cards all year round. I've coloured her with Promarkers and Sakura purple glaze and clearstar pens for sparkle. The papers were freebies with a magazine, sentiment is Lucy Cromwell, Woodware punchd stars and Sizzix die cut swirl corner. I have used the fab sketch at Cute Card Thursday.

I thought I would share another of the samples I have been busy making for Stamposaurus. I used DI Tattered Rose and coloyred the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with a touch of Sakura Goldtsar for a bit of bling. I bought some of the new Papermania Happy Days journalling cards and immediatey had the idea of making a To Do List for the elves. Looks like they haven't made much of a start on that list yet! A day at the seaside

It's my third week as Guest DT member for The Crafty Pad and our challenge this week is paper piecing. I decided to use one of my fave digis from The Crafty Pad and that is the beach hut. Now I don't know how you paper piece a digi but I scanned the printed image onto a sheet of white paper and then cut round it and placed it on the patterned paper. I drew round it on the back and voila, my beach hut was of course back to front, with the cut out for the ball on the right, oops! Turned over my template and tried again.

Boys and their toys

Sorry I haven't been around as much as usual. Have had a busy week, was at a craft fair yesterday afternoon and evening, which was pretty good. I have another craft fair on Sunday and am also busy making samples for Stamposaurus. I am hopping around blogs though whenever I get a few minutes to spare. I sold the sewing card which I made this week. This style of card always seem to sell. I made this card for my friend Lisa's son Jamie's Birthday yesterday. I know he loves cars so I thought this digi which I won from The Stamping Boutique ages ago would be perfect for him. Coloured with Promarkers of course with DI Worn Lipstick around the edges. The papers are Wild Rose For Men. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe, another win a while ago, charm from EBay tied with baker's twine and card candi to finish.

I had two sympathy cards amongst my cards for sale and sold them both on Sunday so I thought I had better restock. I wanted to try something different and used the gorgeous Chloe Stem and Prim Poppy Memory Box dies with Core'dinations. The paper is Papermania Hampstead and the sentiment is Stampin' Up which I won from Elaine a little while ago. Some Viva pearl pen dots, lace from stash and a MS punched butterfly to finish. I'm rather pleased with the way this turned out.

I just couldn't resist these fabulous new retro papers called happy Days from Papermania nd this one is just perfect for a sewing themed card. I found this digi on my computer and it is labelled as an LSS image. I have no idea who that is but it is lovely. I tucked a piece of lace underneath one corner and I've used the TH distress tool and lots of DI Vintage Photo. Red and green are not just for Christmas

Well Good Morning and a good Monday morning it is too. It isn't raining, yet!, and I won a £15 voucher on the Wild Orchids challenge, woo hoo. Happy spending for me.

The craft fair yesterday was lovely, only 4 hours and only 6 miles away. A very sociable event and I sold more cards than Saturday too. Need to restock now as I am doing the hospital Summer Fair from 4-8 on Thursday and another fete on Sunday.

I had a good sort out of the blogs I follow last night as I found some on my list which I never visit and I haven;t a clue who they even belong to. There were also some that don't exist anymore. Sometimes you just have do a bit of blog housekeeping. It should make it easier for commenting now and visiting all you lovely people who take the time to visit me.

I am sharing another of my Stamposaurus samples today. I tend to use pastel colours for sweet Ellie but I wanted to make one which was a complete contrast. I really like the way it turned out with the patchwork effect. Don't forget you could win an Ellie stamp if you enter my candy.

It's time for my second guest DT card for The Crafty Pad and this week's theme is At the Seaside. I have used one of the sponsor's images, The Stamping Boutique, coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with some highlights using a Sakura Rosestar pen for a bit of bling. I have used DI Wild Honey and a great sentiment from The Crafty Pad. The papers are Fancy Pants Beach Babe. The first week of the month means a sketch challenge at Totally Gorjuss and her is my interpretation of the sketch. We are sponsored this week by Joanna Sheen who has all sorts of lovely goodies in her online shop so definitely worth playing along.

I love the LOTV boys as much as the girls and this is one of my fave images which I have coloured with PMs and FMs. I have used DI worn lipstick around the edge. The papers are We R Memory Keepers Travel Lite and the backing paper looks layered but is actually one sheet. I thought the wording was so appropriate. I have added some ribbon, plane charm from EBay tied with baker's twine, Woodware punched stars and star buttons.
