All Aboard!

I made this card for a friend's Birthday recently. As he and his wife enjoy cruising I went with that theme. The paper and some of the items are Papermania, others are Tim Holtz. It made a nice change from making Christmas cards, much as I love making them, just to play around with tickets and ephemera to come up with this layout. I added some string and an anchor charm.

Transport

Thanks to all those who have left me comments whilst we have been away. We stayed in Peterborough on Thursday night and then in Harrogate for the last two nights. I had a wonderful time at LOTV's Birthday party yesterday and met so many blogging buddies. I bought 5 of the new fairies, some older stamps, a paper pad, a die and a couple of art pads

I have two cards to share today, both made using some postcards I bought at Ally Pally from Kraftyhands. Hubby declared these cards a hit so hopefully they will sell well. For the first card I used Papermania Al aboard papers. The map was made using DIs, Frayed Burlap, Broken China and Evergreen Bough and then overstamped with a Papermania stamp. I can take no credit for this idea which came from a blogging friend Lorraine (Rainey). I told her I loved it and would try it.

The second card uses papers from Bo Bunny Weekend Market, wooden arrow from a new set I bought from Little Claire, wooden chevrons from Studio Calico and baker's twine.

More Robins

A lovely traditional and sparkly Christmas card today. I bought these new papers and stamp last week as I had been asked for a card with a robin on it and also some more traditional cards so you will be seeing this cute stamp again I'm sure, very quick to colour. It's my GDT card for Papertake Weekly and this week we want to see your sparkly cards. What better than a Christmas card for lots of sparkle.

Art Deco

I love art deco style and these images from Papermania are really beautiful. I find that decoupage is very popular at craft fairs and as I need to build up my stock made this 8 x 8 card using paper, border, sentiment  and decoupage from a pack I had for Christmas. I added some flowers and pearl sprays from Wild Orchid.

Get in shape

Saturday means another challenge at Totally Gorjuss and this week we are looking for anything that isn't square. This week we are sponsored by The Hobby House, what a great prize. I've made a dinky card for my craft fairs as some people like a more traditional image. I made the card with Go Kreate dies. The stamp is a Papermania one and I also used a LOTV sentiment stamp. They are coloured with Promarkers, paper is Papermania Home for Christmas. As it is small it only needed a wooden bird also coloured with PMs and a bow to finish it off.

I would like to enter this into something that flies at Delicious Doodles

Vintage Journey

It's inspiration time with the second week of our challenge at Crafty Ribbons where our theme is Vintage. I decided to join in both weeks as I love making vintage cards as you know.

The backing paper is Bo Bunny Et cetera and was perfect for the card I had in mind. I used ric rac ribbon with a brad to look as though a journey was plotted on the map. Both the ric rac and seam binding which I distressed with DI Vintage Photo (there's a lot of that been used on this card) are from Crafty Ribbons. The car is Tim Holtz stamp from the Journey stamps set and the destination stamp from a Papermania journey stamp set.I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix die with thick kraft card and heat embossed them with copper. I rarely heat emboss bt love the effect so will try to do it more often. Finished off with a couple of TH wheels and cogs and a Kaisercraft travel ticket.

Here's the fabulous prize on offer.

Let's Go

Time for a vintage style card today. I do love making this style of card a a complete change to the girlie cards. I have used one of my current favourite paper pads, Bo Bunny Weekend Market. You only need to use one paper as it is quite busy with lots of suitcases. I coloured some scrim with a Promarker, stamps are Papermania, Tim Holtz and Crafty Sentiments. They have been stamped onto kraft and then distressed with a TH tool and DI Frayed Burlap. I added some baker's twine, a globe charm from Ebay and I made a couple of hinges using part of a Marianne die and kraft card.

Drive

Brrr, another very cold morning here. We had a sprinkle of snow last night and it's very frosty and cold. Need to pop out for a little while but otherwise will be staying indoors in the warm today. I love the steampunk style and I hope I've done it justice with this card. The backing paper is from We R Memory Keepers Travel Light. I've used a TH on the edge cog die with sanded Core'dinations. Raffia lace was everywhere at one time, now you don;t see it much which is a shame as I love it and I have used some black raffia lace here. The stamped car is from a Tim Holtz set and the destination stamp is from a Papermania urban set. The clock tag is from Crafty Individuals and I have added some Tim Holtz sprocket gears.

I would like to enter this into the one for the boys challenge at Hotshot and favourite song at Here come the boys. One of my favourites is Drive by The Cars.
