A Christmas wish

I love the cute Christmas Scottie stamp set by LC Designs and can see these being used a lot. I have used one of my favourite die sets, MFT pierced rectangles. The image has been coloured with Copics and the papers are LOTV. I am going to miss the LOTV papers when I run out of them. I used Marianne poinsettia dies and pearls. The sentiment is part of the stamp set.

Scotties for Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine

Now that a new issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine is out I can share the cards I made for last month's issue. I had to create a sketch and make three cards using the Little Claire Scottie stamps. The papers are First Edition Vintage Noel. For this one I used a wooden snowflake, ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and a Memory Box banner die.

This one has baker's twine and a snowflake charm along with MS punched snowflakes and pearls.

For this one I used three different MS snowflakes punches.

I would like to enter the three cards into the following challenges.

Simon Says Monday Throwback (Dec 2014 holiday card)
Crafting from the heart Anything goes
Bizzy Becs anthing goes

I am super busy at the moment. A lady phoned yesterday as she bought some cards and a gift from me at the hospital shop and picked up my business card. She ordered some special Christmas cards and two gifts. I also had two magazine commissions come in this week and need more stock for Christmas fairs. Must do some ironing this morning then a crafting day for me.

Autumn is on its way

I made this card for the subscriber issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft which came out in August. I was asked to keep it fairly simple. I love Autumn, much more than Summer which can be too hot for me and I love the Autumnal colours too.

Hunkydory in Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine

If you have a copy of the July edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine you will see these 4 cards I made. Something very different for me as I have never used a Hunkydory pack before. I must admit though that I was very pleased with the result. The images and papers are very pretty and didn't need too much embellishing to make the cards.

Today is my day for selling my crafts at the hospital shop so an early start. We are lucky having a Monday as it means we can set up on Sundays as nobody uses the shop at weekends.

Upcycling

I thought I would share these upcycled projects with you today. They were a commission for the June edition of Cardmaking and Papercrafts Magazine using old song sheets. You could also use musical papers of course. The ribbon and lace are from Crafty Ribbons, flower made with a Go Kreate die.

View of the top, cherry blossom from Wild Orchid.

The bouquet was made with a Spellbinders scalloped die. I cut the circle, wrapped it around the flowers which I had wired together and then cut off the excess paper. Same ribbon and Memory Box die cut butterflies.

I bought the Fiskars quote sentiments in America and they were perfect for the project. I use a Go Kreate die, flowers and bow from Hobbycraft.

Happy Hanukkah

A first for me, a Happy Hanukkah card which I made for Cardmaking and Papercraft online magazine. I don't know much about Hanukkah other than it is called The Festival of Light and they light a menorah so I set about finding a suitable image. This is Max with Menorah from Mo Manning. He has been coloured with Copics and I used First Edition Gilded Winter papers as I though the gold appropriate. The die is Memory Box and I added some gold pearls.

Magazine project - Postcards

My latest project to be published online for Cradmaking and Papercraft has jost been published. You can find it here so please pop over and take a look.  The first postcard features a photo from Key West and the second a gorgeous silhouette stamp from Little Claire. You can find all the products listed on the CM&PC page. I have never made postcards before but I will be using these for scrapbook pages.

Well all I bought in The Range yesterday was a pack of red card as I am getting through a lot of red and green card making Christmas cards. Mum loved her card and her present. I had a couple of emails, one with a magazine commission for 5 cards and another from Stamposaurus for whom I make cards to launch their new stamps. 4 new stamps coming out so that is 8 cards to make for the lovely Jayne. Crafty Ribbons also have some new Christmas ribbons on their way to the DT so samples needed of those for their stand at upcoming shows. With lots of craft fairs Sep-Dec to say I am busy is an understatement. Good job I love it.
Thanks so much for all your visits, I always appreciate all your lovely comments. I will have some new candy coming very soon for one or maybe two lovely followers.
