Vintage car

I bought some vintage car images from Whitby Crafts when we were on holiday in Yorkshire and have finally got round to using one. Hubby really liked this card and it sold on Monday on its first outing so I shall be using some of the others soon,  It's a while since I made a vintage male card, I do love making them with lots of distressed edges of course. The papers are Prima Craftsman and I added two types of jute ribbon, one from Hobbycraft and one from QD along with a Craftwork Cards sentiment and some Tim Holtz metal embellies.

Vintage Guest Designer

This is my second card today, please scroll down for my Crafty Little Fairies DT card.

I was thrilled to receive a lovely email from Sande inviting me to be a guest designer for November at It's all about the vintage and beauty. The theme this week is fancy edged scissors/punches.  I only recently discovered this challenge and as I love making vintage cards I will be playing along regularly. My sewing cards sell so well that I thought it ime to make another. I don't usuually leave mt buttons naked unless they are tiny ones but somehow these looked right this way.

I stamped the Kaisercraft with Memento Rich Cocoa and teamed ith my fave papers of the moment, Prima Lyric. I distressed the edges with my TH tool and DI Vintage Photo. The embellishments are all from stash.

By the time this publishes I will have made several purchases at Hobbycrafts at the NEC.

Teaparty

I bought some images from the fabulous new Scribble and Scrap store set up by Lexie and have only just had time to start playing with them. This is part of a sheet of 6 images, just £1 for the 6, unbelievable value. I really enjoyed making this shabby chic card with lots of layers and textures.

Vintage Journey

It's inspiration time with the second week of our challenge at Crafty Ribbons where our theme is Vintage. I decided to join in both weeks as I love making vintage cards as you know.

The backing paper is Bo Bunny Et cetera and was perfect for the card I had in mind. I used ric rac ribbon with a brad to look as though a journey was plotted on the map. Both the ric rac and seam binding which I distressed with DI Vintage Photo (there's a lot of that been used on this card) are from Crafty Ribbons. The car is Tim Holtz stamp from the Journey stamps set and the destination stamp from a Papermania journey stamp set.I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix die with thick kraft card and heat embossed them with copper. I rarely heat emboss bt love the effect so will try to do it more often. Finished off with a couple of TH wheels and cogs and a Kaisercraft travel ticket.

Here's the fabulous prize on offer.

I would like to enter this into the embossing challenge at Simon Says.
