My favourite 5 oops 6 cards of 2015

Time to play along with Debby's 5 favourite cards of 2015. I just couldn't narrow it down to 5 so here are my 6 starting with my hubby's Birthday card from last March. I love making male cards and love the blue and kraft colour combo. I would like to enter this into the favourite LMMS project of 2015 at Little Miss Muffet.

I made this one for Cardmaking and Papercraft and was really pleased with the colouring of this cute LOTV image.

You may know I love Gorjuss Girls and don't use them enough. This was for a frend who shares my love of purple.

A Pink Gem vintage girl which I love colouring. Love the distressing,

Anothe rmagazine card using sweet James from LOTV and another of my fave colour combos.

One I made very recently and another distressed card. I do enjoy the challenge of making cards without images sometimes.

I look forward to seeing your five favourites now.

My favourtite five LC cards

Have you seen the posts on the LC blog where the DT have been showcasing their favourite five LC cards?  Today is my turn to share my favourites with you.

I had to choose this as it is my favourite Christmas LC image. I love snowmen and bunting and the two together are perfect.

This is such a fun image and I love the colour combo of aqua and pink. A really pretty card this one.

This year I have embraced the clean and simple look which is much harder than it looks. I love images with brollies, no idea why as I am not keen on the rain. This is such a cute image and concentrates on the colouring rather than the embellishments.

I love cats and this is such a fun image. I love red and blue and the clean lines.

Another Christmas cad I know but they are some of my favourites to make. This one is one of three I made for a magazine feature. The image is another cute one and I love the banners and snowflakes.

Favourite 5 Christmas Cards 2015

I am joining in Debby's 5 favourite Christmas cards of the year as I always do. It is good to look back at them but always hard to choose my favourites.I made about 140 Christmas cards this year so that is a lot to choose from. I have tried to choose a variety.

So here they are in no particular order.

I love LOTV James, the kraft and white and all the delicate layering.

This is such a fun Pink Gem image and as I had so many card to make this year the pre coloured digis have been invaluable. I love the colour combo and the cute diecuts.

I have enjoyed trying more CAS cards this year and this Little Miss Muffet card is one of my favourites. I love using banners.

I have made more white on white cards this year and this is one of my favourites and the most recent card of my choices.

Another Penny Black card. The colours are so gorgeous and I spent a long time on this one, using paint, glitter and frantage.

Have a wonderful Christmas xx

Happy New Year with my 5 oops 7 favourite cards of 2014

Happy New Year everyone. I am here to play along with Debby's 5 favouite cards of 2014. I was very good with my Christmas choices and stuck to 5 but try as I might I just couldn't narrow this down to less than 7 and that was a struggle.

So my first card is one of my favourite Sugar Nellie images. I am pleased with my colouring and really like the simple layout with some of my fave doodling too.

I love vintage style cards and this is one I made for a friend. Great sentiment stamp too.

Another boy's card as I love making them and the vintage LOTV boys are some of my favourites. I love the colours and textures. Burlap is a great favourite of mine.

I learnt to zentangle this year and I really like it. I am very much a novice but should try it more. I love the colours of this card too of course.

I have been enjoying making more cas cards, harder than they look and was really pleased with the way this card turned out.

Another vintage card using one of my fave Little Claire stamps. The silhouettes are so effective. This was one of the samples I made for them and somebody liked it so much I had to make a Valentine card just like it.

Lastly but certainly not least is this cute Pink Gem image. I chose this one as it was my first magazine commission for Making Cards. I am so lucky to have joined the Pink Gem DT and designing for magazines is a dream come true.

I look forward to checking out your favourites.

5 Favourite Christmas cards of 2014

Every year I play along with Debby's 5 favourite Christmas card of the year and every year I deliberate which to choose. Although Debby will allow a bit more than 5 I did manage to narrow my choice down to just 5 and that was tough.

I am showing them in date order as I couldn't possible rank them.

I love Sugar Nellie as you know and was thrilled to join The Sugar Bowl DT for 4 months. Time will tell if my time there is extended. I also love these deep pinks and have used them on several cards this year. The LOTV sentiment on kraft is also a favourite of mine.

This is the card I sent to Debby as she is a huge Penny Black fan and I loved the way this card turned out. I love the soft colour and oops, there's that sentiment again I have just realised.

I was so pleased to be asked to join the Little Claire DT in January. This came as a complete surprise and this is my favourite of the stamps I have used this year. Such a fun image and I love red, white and blue cards. Gorgeous ribbon from Crafty Ribbons too.

I do like making cards without images and this year have discovered some wonderful sentiments to use as the main focus. I have always wanted to design for magazines and this year I have been lucky enough to contribute to Making Cards and Cardmaking and Papercraft online. This is one of a set of 5 I made for CM&PC and my favourite. I love using banners, burlap and wooden embellishments.

Lastly my hubby's card which he loves. I could have chosen so many LOTV cards I made this year but made myself choose just one so it had to be this one. It has my favourite Christmas tree dies, glitter, penguins and a snowman.

So hope you will play along. It isn't easy I can tell you. I could have chosen far far more and another day my choices may have been different. I tried to choose a range, not just one company or all snowmen for example. Thanks Debby for a fun challenge.
