I made this for a male friend's Birthday. He loves birds so I thought this stamp was perfect for a Winter Birthday. It is an old stamp by Sheena Douglass which I coloured with Copics. The paper if First Edition Gardenia and the sentiment is Little Claire. I used a new tree die I bought form someone recently on Facebook. It is a lovely set called Autumn. The pots are old Memory Box dies.

Robin
I have been busy making cards I can't share yet but in between I sorted through my stamped images and came across this one. It is an old Sheena Douglass stamp that I borrowed from a friend and stamped several times. I still have a few left to use. It is a simple but timeless and traditional image and I wanted to create a more traditional card with it. I coloured it with Copics and used some First Edition Merry little Christmas papers, a Joy holly die, Hobbycraft poinsettia and a sentiment stamp.
We are very busy in the garden, trying to clear out some hardy geraniums which have taken over in some places. We hope to get out there again today and then on Friday we can replant with some colour ready for Autumn. I love hardy geraniums but we have one pink one which spreads too much so it has to go, well as much as we can get out anyway.
This afternoon we are meeting up with friends for a surprise 16th Birthday meal at Pizza Express and the going to see Matilda at the theatre which has rave reviews. I doubt I shall have a card to share tomorrow but as Thursday is my crafternoon and evening I hope to get several cards made.

Simply a robin
I do love cas cards and they are not that easy to achieve, though they look simple. Getting the design right is key. I love this stamp from Sheena Douglass and used it several times last year but not so much this year. I think I have had so many new stamps to use and still have some Christmas stamps waiting to be inked. Oh well there is always next year!

Now for those of you who know me and know Squirrel as well will realise that Squirrel must have had quite a shock when she saw I had chosen to go with a CAS card rather than something more fussy and fancy. I loved making the last CAS one with this image so much I was determined to try another in a different style. The layout came about when I was tidying, something I do al the time I am crafting, believe me I am one of the world's tidiest crafters. These paper strips were lying beside the trimmer and I thought how good they looked together, rather than in the bin. Both my robin cards sold last Wednesday so I want to make some more. I am really enjoying making some cas cards at the moment as well as my usual fussy and fancy style.

I am loving some of the CAS cards I see in Blogland and thought I would have a go for a change. I am so pleased with the result, I've astonished myself. I will definitely be making some more like this.

Sneak peek
Here's my third post for today and it features a sneak peek of the new CD from the very talented Sheena Douglass. The CD features papers, toppers, decoupage, sentiments and embellishments all with the wonderful paint fusion feel to them. I used a Spellbinder edge die, a Nestie which I embossed and some ribbon. Everything else is from the CD. I sprayed the decoupage and butterfly with Spray and Sparkle. Pop back tomorrow when I may be showing a sneak peek of a card using a brand new tool or will it be another card from Sheena's CD. Mmm, wait and see. Sheena's CD will be on Create and Craft on Friday.

My Mum's Christmas card
I've scheduled this post, which is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where the challenge is For Someone Special, as I will be out all day. I made this poinsettia at the Crafter's Companion 3 day workshop. The stamp is Sheena Douglass. They were stamped onto red and green card, cut out, edges inked with DI, sprayed with gold Spray and Sparkle and put together, shaped and gold glitter added to the centre. I decided to use mine for my Mum's Christmas card. I made the shaped card with my Grand Calibur and large Nesties. I kept the design very simple as the flower is so large and sparkly it didn't need much else. We are sponsored this week by Joanna Sheen so I hope you'll join in the fun. I made my last Christmas card Friday afternoon. It's my hubby's card which I will share with you another day.

Picking flowers
A busy day ahead as my desks and chair have just been delivered so I'm of to sort out my craftroom. Before I do I'm showing another of my Crafter's Companion samples using Tim Holtz Core'dinations. The papers are from SWALK and Fairyopolis CDs and the images is from Sheena Douglass coloured with Promarkers. I used an MS border punch and Blossom Nesties to make the flower, which I then dampened and scrunched and when dry sprayed with Spray and Sparkle. Swirls are Sizzix corner and Crealie die.

More sneak peeks
The other image of the church has also been used for a Christmas card. This is a large image and quite different to my normal cute style of stamp. I stamped it in distress ink on watercolour card and used my new Aquamarkers and waterbrush for the first time. They will definitely take a lot more practice but I am quite pleased with my first attempt. I added glitter for a snowy look and then sprayed the whole image with Crafter's Companions spray and sparkle.

Sneak peek
Here's a sneak peek of the first card made using one of Sheena Douglass's new range of stamps. This image of the "Do Drop Inn" and the sentiment Cheers makes a perfect male Birthday card. I used these lovely shaped card to make an easel card with MME Wild Asparagus papers and the MS simple scallop punch. The image is coloured with Promarkers and I added glossy accents to the windows. You can see the whole range on TV this weekend. I am entering this card into the challenge of easel cards at Sarah Hurley and Autumn Skies (use Autumn colours)at Papertake.
