Snowman Song

Thanks so much for all your good wishes. I have always dreaded having an MRI scan as I don't like enclosed spaces but last week's Reiki treatment and the Bachflower remedy really helped. I stayed calm and just shut my eyes and breathed deeply and thought happy thoughts. Just have to wait for the results now.  Will keep you posted.

Time for another Christmas challenge at Winter Wonderland and this week our challenge is one of my favourites, one we have very year I think, Frosty the Snowman. How easy is that. I have so many images I could have used but the DT were lucky enough to be able to use some of the fabulous images from our sponsor, Crafty Sentiments. I decided to make a cool frosty blue card for a change.

Glitter, glitter and more glitter

Our challenge this week at Totally Gorjuss is anything goes with glitter. How easy is that, especially if like me you are still busy making Christmas cards. Our lovely sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen. I started this card by deciding I must use up some old papers. They are some of the last few in this pack, which means they are the ones I am not so keen on.  They were a free pack with a magazine. I therefore decided I wouldn't like this card much but as I started embellishing it ended up really liking it. The cute snowman frame is a digi from Crafty Sentiments coloured with Promarkers. I wanted to keep the frame theme with the embellies. I used a MB umbrella die, 2 MS snowflake punches, Sizzix Christmas tree die and some gorgeou sribbon from Crafty Ribbons. I added some faux stitching to match the frame and lots of glitter.

Falling leaves

Bit earlier with my post today. Normal service of morning posting will be resumed as soon as possible. I won this cute stamp from Crafty Sentiments last year and I don't think I have ever used her before, hangs head in shame. It's not like me not to use a stamp. I may have several which have only been used once though. The papers are almost the last bits of the lovely Papermania Hampstead pack. The backing paper is lovely and sparkly and the colours perfect for Autumn. I've used British Ribbon - Hearts and Kisses from Crafty Ribbons, Memory box die with kraft, sentiment from Ally Pally show and Kars wooden tree.

Vintage bicycle

Another rainy morning here. I don't think we have had a day without rain at some point of the day since they announced the hosepipe ban.

I love making these vintage/shabby chic style cards and recently bought a gorgeous A5 sheet from Crafty Sentiments which has loads of useful stamps on it to create this look. The bike, watch and postage stamps are all from the A5 sheet. I stamped them with DI Vintage Photo onto kraft. Papers are Bo Bunny et cetera which I distressed. I used my fave MS cherish border punch and some seam binding which has also been coloured with Vintage Photo. I added some tiny buttons to finish.

This is a guest designer card for anything goes with kraft at Party Time Tuesday. At the moment this isn't showing up on their challenge but I have left them a comment.
Challenges:
Crafts and Me Vintage
Charisma Shabby chic
Totally Papercrafts All buttoned up
CES Button it

Lots more Crafter's Companion samples to be getting on with today.

Is there a Doctor in the house?

I'm back with a card to share with you. Please scroll down for my GDT bag for The Stamp Basket, where they currently have some yummy papers on sale.

I've used this gorgeous Doctor stamp from Crafty Sentiments coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I used a Go Kreate tag die to cut him out and a MS simple scallop border punch. The papers are Papermania Hampstead, which I found in my drawer. I haven't used these for ages, yet I love the colours and textures of them. I've added some ribbon and a metal scroll.

I used the fab sketch at Truly Scrumptious and would like to enter the punches and dies challenge at Fussy and Fancy.

Spring flowers

I'm back with my second post for today and this is my DT card for the Spring challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs. This is the monthly challenge and it was great to see so many more of you playing along last month. I have used Sweet Butterfly, one of the new stamps released today. I am not entirely happy with this card and I'm not sure why really. I love the image and like the colours, the image has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and the pretty Prima Fairy Flora papers. I've added some sparkly ribbon, Prima flowers, pearl and Memory Box die cut butterflies.
Challenges:

That's all from me at the moment. I'm busy working on the next Crafter's Companion launch so back to the crafting for me. Catch you later.

April preview

Good morning from a wet and windy Norfolk. You certainly wouldn't want to be dressed like Primrose today. Today sees the preview of 6 new fabulous rubber stamps  from Crafty Sentiments Designs. These will be released on 10 April but you have the chance to win 3 of them simply by commenting every day on the Crafty Sentiments Designs Monthly Challenge Blog where you will find inspiration every day from the DT. This is mine using Primrose Garden Flowers. I haven't made a stepper card for ages. I used Kars Country Rose papers one of which is glittered. I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and used DI tattered Rose around the edges. I always find decorating these cards a challenge as they don't look right overloaded with embellies so I have kept mine fairly simple.

Don't forget the monthly challenge of Easter is still running until 9 April so hop over and join in with that too.

Challenges:
ABC DT Anything Goes
Simon Says Use your favourite tool (Mine is my Bigshot which I used for the Nestie)
Kaboodle Doodles Anything but a rectangle
Incy Wincy Pastels
Secret Crafter Shaped card
2 Sisters Birthday Fun

ABC

I'm back with a second post today and what a cutie he is. He's a new rubber stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs. I don't think he is on the website yet but should be shortly. There's also a very sweet new little girl, called Kaye available today as a digi and not forgetting the new releases due out next week which the DT will be previewing. I've had a good afternoon, finishing off one card and making two more, one of which was using a technique I haven't tried before. I'll be sharing that with you on Sunday probably.

Anyway on to my card for tonight. I used Papermania Portobello Road papers. I love the red, white and blue and the slightly grungy look and really must use them more. I've used Di Worn Lipstick and added some faux stitching around the image which has been coloured with Promarkers. I tried a different colour combination for the bear of henna, cocoa and raw sienna and really like the golden look it gives him. I've added a couple of very old letter epoxy stickers. In fact they were one of the first sets I ever bought so must be at least 5 years old. I've added some card candi and a Craftwork cards sentiment. I felt the card really didn't need any more embellishment.
Challenges:
Sketch n Stash Fab sketch (new stamp, old letter stickers)
Simon Says Anything Goes
DYSU w it
Moving along with the times Cute n cuddly

I'll also be entering this into Lisa's (Wishcraft) waste not Wednesday challenge for using my old letters.

I have a stall at an indoor car boot tomorrow so have scheduled my DT post for Totally Gorjuss and I'll just say that it is another scrapbook layout.

Sailing

Just one post from me today. I'm building up my stock of men's cards. I seem to have several for boys but not many for men. I bought a lovely A5 vintage set of stamps from crafty Sentiments and this is one of them. I've used Papermania capsule papers and the MS cherish border punch with baker's twine. The square tiles I bought at a show and the anchor charm came from The Works.

Please see post above for my candy and please make sure you leave a comment on that post to register your interest in winning the candy.

Egg Painting

Here's my second post for today and this one is my DT card for Crafty Sentiments Designs. It's our second monthly challenge with a nice easy challenge of Easter. I've used one of the cute Easter stamps coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The sentiment is a digi from Crafty Sentiments too. The papers are Prima Sweet Fairy, a pad I had forgotten I had, oops. I've used My MS doily die, some more of that sweet rabbit ribbon and some card candi. The egg letters were from an old pack from Poundland. I hope you'll come and join in the fun as you could win a £10 voucher to spend at Crafty Sentiments. There are some gorgeous new dies and a fabulous AF vintage set of stamps, which I bought and which I am itching to use.

A bear, new storage and a candy winner

Here's my second post for this morning and I'm starting it off wit this cute bear digi from Crafty Sentiments. There is a really fun challenge at Ready-Teddy-Go which is It's a Wrap. You have to make something based on some packaging. I looked through my kitchen cupboards and found all kinds of products which inspired me but I wanted to go for something different and remembered this tin.
It was the packaging for a watch my hubby bought at Disneyworld, isn't it great packaging. I also wanted to challenge myself with a colour scheme I wouldn't normally use. I've used up odd bits of old papers on this one too along with some buttons and twine. The border punch is MS simple scallop.
Other Challenges:
Emma's Cards Stripes
Cupcake Red and yellow
Incy Wincy Something old/new (Old papers, new digi)
Hubby is decorating the lounge and we had a silver shelf unit on the wall which we decided we didn'want to have in the lounge anymore so here it is in my craftroom. Plenty of space on there for more goodies.

I'll be adding this pic to my craftroom page.

For the winner of my CD I added up all the comments on the sneak peek posts and put them into Random Org and it chose

That's you, Mamma Mia.
Congratulations. Guess what I will be singing all day now.
Please e-mail me your address so Crafter's Companion can post out your CD.

Thanks to everyone who entered and welcome to my new followers. I really appreciate all your comments. I would love to return them all but do my best to comment as much a I can. Thanks also for your wishes for Hubby's Birthday. We had a lovely day, the sun shone and I thoroughly recommend Legally Blonde - The Musical. If you love Hairspray this is the musical for you. Really fun and feelgood. Great music too.

Onto cheerier matters. I am busy making Mother's Day and Easter cards for a craft fair on Saturday. I have used an older digi from Crafty Sentiments, coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Echo Park Victoria Garden. Love is in the air everywhere

I've another busy day ahead. The plumber has just arrived to service the central heating and put in a new circuit board as every time the boiler starts up the tank makes a dreadful buzzing noise. As the airing cupboard is in my craftroom you can imagine how irritating the noise is. Then we're off out to get some paint, a table for craft fairs and some food shopping. Also have a Birthday card to deliver but hopefully will have time for crafting this evening.

This is my first DT card for the new monthly challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs where the challenge is Love is in the Air. I've used one of the gorgeous new digi images which you can buy here. There is also a bargain basement so well worth checking out the website. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and teamed it with some Doodlebug papers which I won ages ago. Not many sheets left now. I've added some pearls and a ticket sentiment, minimal embellies for me but the card just didn't seem to need more as I wanted to show off the lovely glittery paper.

There are so many love challenges at the moment but I have chosen these ones to enter.

Sentiment is a digi from Crafty Sentiments and I added a die cut circle with a large star button to finish. I would like to enter this into the animal challenge at Dream Valley and anything goes at Simon Says.

Let it Snow!

Well, had a much better night's sleep last night despite the cough which started yesterday. However I felt worse this morning and it has taken me ages to get going.

I hope to get a couple of Christmas cards made this week to make up for not doing one last week but not sure that is going to happen. Anyway I do have one to share with you. I love easel cards. Introducing Kai

NO post from me yesterday as I was busy in the morning and out in the afternoon. Then Angie added my lovely new blog header and background to my blog. I gave her the sort of things I like, including purple of course, and didn't she come up withe the most fabulous design. If you would like one designed for you click on her banner on my sidebar. The only problem was it took off all my customised settings so it took me a while to get the fonts etc looking like I wanted them again. The only thing I can't work out is how to remove the box around my blog. I fiddled around for ages and ended up with no time to make a card yesterday.

So my card today features Kai, a new digi available tomorrow from Crafty Sentiments Designs. Every Friday there will be 2 new digis released and there is also a chance to win a digi by placing your card made using a Crafty Sentiments image onto their Facebook page. I love blue but never seem to have many blue papers. I also wanted stripes to match her top and found these papers in my Christmas paper stack. They are Papermania Winter's Tale. Must remember that in future as so many Christmas papers are spots and stripes. I used my MS double loop border punch, one I don't use enough. I added some striped ribbon, Sizzix die cut corners, Wild Orchid flowers, punched MS fern leaves, pearls and a flower charm.
Challenges
Pollycraft Bingo (flowers, punches, pearls)
Crafts 4 Eternity Colour challenge
Secret Crafter Anything Goes with Blue
Totally Papercrafts Spots and stripes

Don't forget to check out my candy which ends on Saturday and my for sale page.

Sentiments are computer generated and distressed with DI worn lipstick. I added some lace, mulberry flowers and tiny buttons.

Snowy couple

After my grungy and distressed card posted this morning comes a card with nice clean lines. The image is from Crafty Sentiments coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I had forgotten I had this Marianne icicle die until I saw somebody else use it and it fitted this sketch perfectly along with the faithful MS punched snowflakes. The corner was made with a Sizzix die and the letters came from an old scrapbooking kit.
