I've mastered the fun flock

Another Christmas card today and another one I printed a long time ago. I love using the fun flock but it is a bit lumpy but I have finally mastered the technique. I spread it on and then kept flattening it until the lumps all flatten out, shake off the excess and it leaves a lovely fluffy fur look.

What a week for weather, some sun, lots of cloud and some dismal rain and it has turned rather chilly too. This little cutie seemed rather appropriate to colour. I went for lovely cheerful colours, she looks quite happy in the rain doesn't she.

Hubby is off out midmorning and won't be back until later this evening as he is volunteering driving one of the rescue boats at the powerboat meeting. Being a bank holiday it is a big meeting and as regular readers will know it doesn't interest me at all and it is going to pour with rain all day so I will mainly be in my craft room today.

I caught a fish

This is the second of three Maurice cards I made for Making Cards magazine. These are such great images. They were originally from Pollycraft but now available at Little Miss Muffet. Maurice has been coloured with Copics and the papers are LOTV Country Gent. Sentiment tickets are also LOTV, ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and I added a large button and baker's twine and glossy accents to his glasses of course.

I didn't sleep very well Sunday night and was up early yesterday to get to the hospital for my craft stall. So last night I was very tired and went to bed at 10pm. Even too tired to look at iPad very much so hoping to catch up on some commenting today.

I had a lovely crafting day yesterday, making cards and doing some scrapbook layouts as well as scheduling several blog posts. I find it easier and quicker to do several at a time and have all my dates on a white board in my craft room. I mark those that are scheduled and I can see at a glance which days are left to fill. I have sheets with all my DT work hanging in front of my desk and these are marked off as I make them.

So onto today's cute card. The colours were inspired by a colour challenge at Fiskarettes UK on Facebook. I went for a distressed look with sanded Core'dinations and distressed edges.

I made this 5" square card to send to Lynsey to wish her good luck for her first half marathon last Sunday. She only started running a few months ago and has done incredibly well. I can't imagine walking that far all at once never mind run.

I really enjoyed trying out a cas style for this card.

I was lucky enough to win the last Little Miss Muffet challenge and this is one of the images I chose, Peggy Sue hatter. Isn't she cute, she looks like she has her new Easter bonnet. A great image for so many occasions.She has been coloured with Copics and I have gone for a very clean and simple look today. I doodles a border and added some pink pearls. I love the Pollycraft children as they are so cute and this one is no exception. They are also so lovely to colour and I have gone for a clean and simple style today.
