Back with a second post today. There is a new release from LOTV on Monday called new beginnings. There are new images, sentiments and some fabulous alphabets. I made some more paper bunting and used the patchwork alphabet which comes in various colours. If you zoom in on the photo you can see the patterns on the letters. Tomorrow I will be sharing a card made with one of the new stamps and it is soooooo cute.

Bunting
Sorry for the photo but it was very difficult to get a good picture of my new bunting I have been making. I have had the idea of making some paper or card bunting for a while so when I saw a set of triangle dies at The Works for £6 and I had a 25% off deal come through I decided to by them as diecutting is so much quicker than measuring and cutting by hand. I was even more pleased to find that the dies actually come with an extra deep top which is perforated enabling me to cut the patterned card attach double sided tape and the ribbon and then fold the top over the ribbon. I then cut more triangles, trimmed off the extra top piece and attached them to the backs to neaten them.
On the top one I added paper flowers and card candi and on the second one some butterflies from Poundland. I dug out an old Sizzix alphabet die for the baby ones and added diecut babygros and prams to the ends. I shall be taking these to my next hospital shop day in May.

Christmas bunting
I love embroidering and as my padded bunting has been selling well I thought I would make some for Christmas. I rather fancy this one myself actually as it fits the colour scheme of my tree decorations. Love the glitter felt. I bought the snowflake buttons on Ebay and the little reels from a florist supplier.
Here is one of the hearts in more detail.

More sewing projects
I do love having some sewing projects to do whilst I am watching TV. Of course if I am watching something demanding my full attention like Poldark then the sewing doesn't get done. I bought a few of these embroidery hoops in Hobbycraft. The material comes from Dunelm and Crafter's Companion. I used two different Memory Box butterfly dies and used chain stitch for the bodies.
The first two sets of padded bunting I had on my stall sold on their first outing so I have been busy making some more. They take a while to hand stitch each diecut heart but I love making them.

Padded bunting
As promised I am back with some padded bunting I have been making. I bought some fat quarters and have been looking at different ideas for using them. I love sewing my felt hearts so I thought I would ese if my Spellbinder heart dies would cut the material and they do. I really enjoyed making these and I can sew these whilst watching TV as long as it isn't a gripping drama which needs all my attention. So far I have made these two.

Wicker bunting
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MUMS.
This week I have several different things to share with you rather than cards. These are two sets of bunting I made to sell. They look really pretty and if they sell then I will definitely be making some more.
The wicker hearts are from a set of lights I bought for my stall a couple of years ago to use at Christmas. I then had them at home inside a square glass vase and they looked lovely. Recently though the lights started to flicker so I was going to throw them away. Of course being a crafter I then thought maybe I can recycle them so I pulled out the lights, cut off the cable and tied them to ribbon and added flowers from Wild Orchid.
We will be collecting my Mum this morning, coming back to ours for coffee and then taking her for a nice lunch before taking her home.
