Have a Mice Christmas

Have been out all day today, haircut and colour, so the hair is looking good today! Went to the Bank, did a little shopping and then home to check up what is happening. I couldn't believe my eyes when I checked the competition over at Little Claire's blog where they wanted names for their new Cutie Patootie stamps. They chose my names, Bert and Mary so I have won a set of the 6 new stamps. How fantastic is that! I've never won a naming competition before.

Right, onto my card today which is an 8" card using the sweet Gillian Roberts mice coloured with Promarkers. I used papers from my 12" stash, Papermania glitter strip, ribbon, Woodward punched leaves, Crealie die cut leaves, Prima poinsettia, card candi and pearls.

Big boots

Isn't it lovely and light here this morning with the clocks going back. Won't be so good when it gets dark earlier this evening though. It means a nice early start for me today. Washing done and ready to hang out then shower and off to visit some friends to deliver some ordered Christmas cards.

I've used this gorgeous Simply Sassy girl for my card today. She is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with loads of glitter on the fur. I used DI Broken China around the image. Aren't her boots fab. I tried a couple of different things for this card, rather than using all blue, I used some Dovecraft pink and blue paper for the backing paper and then everything else blue on top. The blue papers are DCWV Winter stack. I used the last of a piece of lace I bought at Ally Pally and after adding the strip add a small piece left which I used at the top rather like bunting. I always wrap my lac around and stick with tape before layering but as I only had this small piece left used PVA glue and it stuck it perfectly. I used an MS simple scalloped border punch and the old faithful snowflake punch with glitter card.

Remembrance Sunday

This is my second DT card today. Please scroll down for my Squiggles card.

We have a lovely challenge of I remember over at Totally Gorjuss. Please tell us why you chose a particular image for your creation. As my dear Grandma died on Remembrance Day several years ago I went with a Remembrance Day theme and chose this gorgeous poppy image from The Stamping Boutique. The papers are Echo Park Victoria Garden. I added some velvet ribbon, a seam binding bow and pearls to keep it stylish and simple. We are sponsored this week by Fantastic Ribbons so expect a fantastic prize.

Go Dotty

Hello and welcome to Squiggle Saturday. The challenge blog has had a bit of a change and from now on all the DT will be making cards for the fortnightly challenge rather than posting on different days. The challenge is go dotty and I use done of the cute new penguin images coloured with Promarkers, I used Wild Rose papers again, just love the colours on these papers. Although it is a Christmas pack you could use these designs all year, if there any left of course. I also used a dotty punch from Michaels.and added some pearls. We'd love you to join in the fun at Squiggle Stamps. You can use any image you like but if you use a Squiggle image available here then you get 2 entries.

I've scheduled this post as I am out all day sorting out my cardmaking classes for January and delivering some cards to a shop to sell but hope to be back later with my Totally Gorjuss card.

Snow Baby

This is my second post for today and this one is using a stamp I haven't used for ages. The image is from the very talented Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy. I've used a mix of Papermania Enchanted and Wild Rose papers. The snowflakes were made with a Marianne die and MS punch. Roses are from Wild Orchid. The sentiment is from a Humphrey's Corner stamp set.

Clean and Simple

The challenge set by the lovely Denise this week at Winter Wonderland is clean and simple. Now regular followers will know that I don't do CAS. I don't think less is more, I think more is better. However I had these snowy scene die cutsI bought last year from Lili of the Valley and made some simple 5" square cards to sell in packs. I embossed some white Centura pearl with snowflakes and added some blue spotted ribbon. Simples. We had a lovely lot of entries last week and as I know many of you do enjoy making CAS cards hope you will come and play. I would like to enter this into the die cut challenge at Bah Humbug and no designer papers at One Stop Craft and Crafty Sentiments.

One image, 2 cards

I'm still working on lots of Christmas cards and here are 2 very different cards using the same sweet Sugar Nellie fairy. For this first card I used the Sugar Bowl sketch where the option is CAS. Now you will know that I don't do CAS but as there was only one paper in this sketch the card is pretty clean and simple for me. The paper is appropriately Papermania Enchanted, flower is from Crafty Emmas, Crealie diecut swirls.

The second card is an 8" square card so lots of scope for embellies. I love the colours of these papers from Papermania and Wild Rose. The image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, as is the image above. Lots of glitter on her hat. I used an MS border punch and Marianne snowflake dies. I made a tag using a new stamp free with C&PC mag which arrived yesterday and a Nestie die. A couple of heart buttons and some jingle bell charms finish it off.

Dancing in the snow

Good morning, and a sunny morning it is too after yesterday's horrible rainy day. I popped into Hobbycraft yesterday and found some new Kraft card blanks and envelopes which at £3.99 for 30 was a good price I thought so have used one here. They seem to be gettig more products in for serious crafters and also had some items on special offer and as I had a £4 voucher if you spend £20 also bought a set of Nesties labels 2 which I have wanted for a while so got the card blanks for free.

I have so many new images to use it is hard to know which to use first. Also putting some stamps away the other day I came across some old favourites which haven't been used for far too long. Anyway today my card features one of the newer Lili of the Valley girls. She has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with a bit of Sakura gold star pen and lots of lovely glitter. I used my MS PATP snowflake set and then added the punched out snowflakes to the design. The snowflake has been made with gold glitter card and a Marianne die. There's a lot going on in this card with buttons, pins, ribbon and lace. My favourite sort of card which also has distressed edges and sanded Core'dinations.

Snuggled up in love

The weather has changed today, after several lovely sunny days it is pouring with rain. Nowhere near as much rain as some of you in the UK are having though. Awful floods so I hope you are all safe and dry.

My card today is for an order and I was asked for an A5 card. The beauty of digis is of course that you can resize them so I could make this cute Meljens image nice and big for the card. Image coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I used DI Victorian Velevt around the image, papers are Marianne Merry Little Christmas, sentiment Craftwork Cards. I added some lovely burgundy lace, Prima poinsettias and some gold holly leaves I found in my Christmas stash.

I know most of you are busy making Christmas cards so don't forget to enter our Christmas cheer challenge over at Squiggle Stamps where you could win a £10 voucher. There are some gorgeous new Christmas images or maybe you will spend it on some of the lovely older digis or rubber. You can enter using any image and remember, you have to be in it to win it.

I've had a lucky week, getting Top 3 at Send a Smile 4 Kids, Ladybug Crafts Ink and Crafty Sentiments.

Snowy couple

After my grungy and distressed card posted this morning comes a card with nice clean lines. The image is from Crafty Sentiments coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I had forgotten I had this Marianne icicle die until I saw somebody else use it and it fitted this sketch perfectly along with the faithful MS punched snowflakes. The corner was made with a Sizzix die and the letters came from an old scrapbooking kit.
Sweet Sketch Wednesday Another great sketch

2 ways with 1 embossing folder

2 more samples for Crafter's Companion, this time with a new Darice embossing folder and some new Core'dinations. I wanted to create 2 completely different looks with the same basic card design. The top card features the Kraft Core'dinations and has been severely distressed, torn and sanded. This would make a great male Birthday card. The bottom one has a much more feminine look using the new Pastels Core'dination which has just been lightly sanded. I used Baker's Twine for the top bunting and ribbon for the bottom one and added some Prima flowers.

I would like to enter the top card into the spooky hues challenge at Papertake and Sundae Bar at Paper Sundaes (black, distressing, sparkle (with the gems)). Both cards are for the embossing challenge at Charisma.

Happy Birthday Crafter's Companion

Just a quick post from me as I have been out all day. Crafter's Companion is 6 years old and they are celebrating all week with special offers and loads of TV programmes on Create and Craft. Last week I was very busy working on lots of samples for these programmes and here is just one of the  cards I made with the monochromatic Reddy decoupage. I used black Centura pearl card for the card blank and added some Crealie die cut swirls, Prima flowers and pearls.

Believe in fairies

Time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss and this week our challenge is pastel Christmas sponsored by Lili of the Valley. I'm so pleased with the way this card turned out that I want to send it to myself, lol! The image is a Nellie Snellen one coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, Sakura clear star pen and lots of glitter.. I used DI Frayed Burlap around the images and some gorgeous Tim Holtz 12 x 12 papers which I have distressed. The sentiment is from a Humphrey's Corner stamp set, punched star from Core'dinations with MS punched snowflakes.

Let them eat cake

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for a baby card.
The stamp is one of the new Sugar Nellie Fairy Glen girlies and I was very lucky to win her in the SN bloghop. I've coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and teamed her with Dovecraft Piece of Cake papers. I've used my MS Cherish punch and some lace from The Hobby House. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Rock a bye baby

Here I am a little later than usual as I decided to be good and get all my chores out of the way first. Hubby is at home today and we had a bit of a cleaning frenzy this morning starting before 8am. I've also done some hand washing and 2 loads of machine washing so I deserve some crafting and blogging time now don't you think. This card is for an order and will have a named sentiment on but as I don't want it to be seen on Facebook will add that now. I just adore this image and have used it several times. It has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The papers are Papermania Boysenberry. The gorgeous rose ribbon is from the Hobby House. Flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid and Crafty Emma's. I would like to enter this into the vintage challenge at Moving along with the times and inspired by nursery rhymes/fairy tales at Simon Says (Rock a bye baby).

I recently bought some more Pollycraft digis and Melody was one of them. She is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with some Sakura clear star for highlighting.  I had a play around with distressing and tearing for this one. Good morning everyone. I have a Birthday card to share with you today for a change from Christmas cards. The image is Little Claire, papers Basic Grey Wisteria. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with a bit of sparkle for a Sakura clear star pen. I do love these pens and just bought a green one. They add a little bit of sparkle when you don't necessarily want to use glitter. I used one of my fave MS border punches and then covered most of it with the Prima flowers, lol!

A gift from Squiggle Stamps

This is my second Christmas post today, this time featuring a brand new release from Squiggle Stamps. This is one of the Goth Kidz range released today. There are many more new Christmas digis including some very cute penguins. I've used a great sketch from A Gem of a Challenge using papers from Kars Xmas and DCWV Winter stack. I've coloured and glittered some Kars wooden snowflakes, added some baker's twine and pearls and a Craftwork Cards sentiment. I would also like to enter this into the masculine challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

Friends by the fire

Well I didn't get round to any cardmaking last night after all so am determined to make a few today and here's the first. I bought some die cuts from the Lili of the Valley stand at Ally Pally as there were some images which aren't yet available as stamps. At least I don't think this one is but it is sooooo cute isn't it. The papers are Wild Rose Milton Christmas, flower is Prima, border K&Co and corner made with a Sizzix die.

I love my dog

Well I don't love my dog as I don't have one but this little cutie does. You may have seen her on TV if you have been watching the SWALK launch on Create and Craft. This is a great sentiment too I think. The papers are from the new SWALK Winter Cheer CD and the image is coloured with Spectrum Noirs. I would like to enter this into the challenge of 1 ribbon, 2 shapes and glitter, (shapes are circle and rectangle), at CRAFT and for the girls at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

I posted a large parcel of cards off to Crafter's Companion today so I can now settle down and get some other cards made so should have something new to share tomorrow. I should also have a bit more time for blogging thank goodness.

Very pink, a candy winner and oops!!!

Another gorgeous day here today and what am I doing, making cards as I have so many to get done for Crafter's Companion. Hope the weather lasts as we are off out visiting tomorrow. I decided to take a break from my DT cards and make something else and here it is. My card features one of the gorgeous Sassy girls from Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers. I tried the ditty background for the first time as I have seen this quite a lot lately and thought it would be fun to try it. The papers were a Birthday pressie, Kars Country Rose and boy are they pink or what! I used an MS border punch, Marianne leaf die, X cut butterfly punch, Craftwork cards sentiment and various flowers. The fab sketch is from The Sugar Bowl and I would like to enter the monochrome challenge at The Crafty Pad and dying to diecut at Marianne's Design Divas.

Ans the moment you have all been waiting for which is the winner of my Birthday candy and it is.....
That's you Lynn (Delphinoid). Please e-mail me your address and I'll pop your goodies in the post to you. Don't despair if you haven;t won any candy from me yet. I'm off to America before Christmas and I'm sure to come back with something lovely to give away.

Lastly, look what happened to me Friday night. Reaching to get something from the back of a shelf in my craftroom and down came packs of embellies which burst open all over the floor. This is just a small part of it and of course some of the embellies are tiny and being such a tidy fanatic I had to pick them up and out them all back in the right sections of the containers. What a job that was and not to be recommended.

Vintage Anniversary

What fabulous Autumn weather we are having. Hope you are too. I've been out all day but just checking some blogs and found I won a stamp in the SN bloghop, woo hoo. My card today is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where we have a bingo challenge. I've used lace, ribbon and bows and a very sweet Sarah Kay stamp. I've never tried a brown monochrome image before and am really pleased with the result. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with gold highlights with a Sakura Gold Star pen. The paper is Paper Cellar Classic Victorian. I've used some lace I bought at Ally Pally and the MS heart border punch, brown ribbon and a couple of bows from stash.

Apologies if I haven't commented much this week but I am snowed under with DT work for Crafter's Companion. Lots to do in a short timescale.

I'm back as promised with my second Christmas card for today. It's my DT card for Winter Wonderland where the lovely Suzi has challenged us to use a Robin on our cards. I chose this cute stamp from Little Claire which I coloured with Promarkers and Sakura clear star pen. I added glitter to his hat of course. I used some lovely new papers, Marianne Designs Merry Little Christmas. The holly was made with a Woodware punch and card candi. I was looking for something to finish off the card and found the gold swirly embellie in my stash. I bought it in Florida when I was there last Christmas.

Cute witch

Here's my second post today and it's my DT card for Squiggle Stamps. I've used digi Miss Evie Witchy coloured with Promarkers. I'm loving these vibrant colours. The pieces of black ribbon were cut from inside a new top from M&S. In fact the reverse of one piece reads Marks and Spencer but as it is stuck down you can't see that. My hubby always laughs when I save all these bits of ribbon.  You can buy Miss Evie Witchy here and, along with some other digis, she is available at a reduced price. Also, don't forget out current challenge, Thanks, which ends tomorrow. You can enter using any image.

Today's second sneak peek

I'm spoiling you all with a second sneak peek today. Please scroll down for today's other post. Not long to wait now for these SWALK cuties to be released. I've coloured the image with Spectrum Noirs and used DI Broken China around the image again. Everything else is from the CD except the MS punched snowflakes. I hope you'll be tuning in on Friday. I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek and my Squiggle DT card.

Wheeeee..... another sneak peek

Don't they look like they are having fun. The weather here today is damp and dismal. For my sneak peek today of the new SWALK launch I have used my lovely new Grand Calibur and large Nesties. The background card is Core'dinations which I sanded. Backing paper is from the new SWALK CD. The image has been coloured with Spectrum Noirs. I found my family in a book

As promised I'm back with a second post today. Please scroll down for today's SWALK sneak peek. When I went to Ally Pally recently I almost a couple of the Gorjuss girl stamps but bought so much other stuff that I didn't buy any. However Lynsey knew how much I liked them and bought me one for my Birthday. She is called I found my family in a book and I adore her. In fact she matches the bag I had as one of my Birthday pressies from my hubby. I saw these bags a while back and we found them in a shop in the New Forest when we went away recently.

So, onto my card which has been coloured with Promarkers. The edges have been coloured with Broken China DI, papers are Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage which I bought from Crafty Emma's. I used some lovely seam binding I bought at Ally Pally, Prima flowers and brads. Backing paper is from the new Winter Cheer CD. I tore some white paper to give the appearance of snow and added a Papermania white glitter strip. The images have been coloured with Spectrum Noirs and glitter added to all the fur. SWALK sneak peek 3

Good morning everyone. Thanks for your Birthday wishes. I had a lovely Birthday yesterday with a day out in Holt and an excellent lunch. It was cold but dry and started to rain as we left so spent a cozy evening indoors. Really gloomy here today and raining so after a trip to Morrisons hope to have some crafting and blogging time.

I've made something different today for my SWALK sneak peek and decorated a bag. A good bit of recycling here.  Here's a view of the front.

The papers are from the new Winter Cheer CD and the gorgeous girl shopping is one of the 12 new stamps. I used my new Grand Calibur and large Nesties for the die cuts. The label and sentiments are from the CD. I used various Marianne Dies for the leaves and flowers. Here's the back of the bag.

Ooh La La

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for the Crafter's Companion bloghop. This is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where we have a fun challenge entitled Ooh La La. I have used a digi image from Fairydoodler coloured with Promarlers and have gone for a distressed look. I stamped some peach Core'dinations with a Crafty Individuals stamp I won recently and then scrunched and tore it. (I know I am getting brave with this distressing aren't I.) The pins are from The Hobby House and the ribbon was bought at Ally Pally. The lace was a RAK from my teamie Hazel. Scroll was made with a Sizzix corner die.

It's time for a SWALK Bloghop

Baby boy's First Christmas

Our hot weather has finally disappeared and today can't seem to make it's mind up. One minute showery, then the sun comes out. Definitely cooler though, we've gone from abut 25 degrees to about 15 predicted today. My craftroom is lovely and warm though as it has the airing cupboard in it.

My card today is for a baby boy's first Christmas. I wanted to us a different image for this one from the usual Pink Gem one I often use and thought this little bear was perfect. He is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I really love these flexmarkers and can't wait to get some more of them. Papers are MME Snowed in and DCWV Winter stack. I made some heart corners using a Sizzix die and added the ribbon and hearts. The sentiment is from a Humphrey's Corner stamp die cut with a Spellbinder label die.

What attitude?

I'm very pleased to say that all my DT cards for the next Crafter's Companion launch were posted yesterday so I can now concentrate on other cards. This is one of my new Simply Sassy girls from Sugar Nellie. She has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Papers are HOTP Vacation. I added some ricrac. pins, Marianne die cut flowers and pearls. The middle of the flower is actual a poinsettia die but I thought it worked well as a centre.

I shall also be entering this into the new Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge.

The Kiss

We had a lovely day out yesterday and I popped into a craft shop where I made a very modest purchase of £6.25. I only had time to finish off a DT card and do some bloghopping  but hope to have more crafting time today. I want to get my TV samples finished, only one more to make.

I made this card for a friend's anniversary. She isn't into cute images so I thought this image which I won from Gingerloft was perfect. Papers are Country Companions.I used the MS heart border punch, flowers from Michaels and leaves from Crafty Emma's. I would like to enter this into the challenge of Love at Charisma.

Powder Puff

Sorry for you folks having lots of rain but you probably slept better than we did last night as it was so hot. Seems a bit fresher today and lots of cloud so I think the unseasonal heatwave is over. We're off to the coast today but I wanted to post this card before we go. In fact I was so eager to post it that when I went to add it to the post I found I hadn't uploaded the photo I took yesterday.

It's so easy to use new stamps that sometimes we forget our older ones and I love this sweet bear so thought it was time she was used again. Papers are Prima sweet fairy. I distressed the edges and coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The lace was a RAK from my TG teamie Hazel. I used one of my fave MS border punches and a Nellie die. The flowers are Prima with various buttons and pearls added. I love that little rose button, shame I only found one of those in my stash.

Decisions, decisions

Another unbelievably sunny day here, amazing weather for October. A quick post from me before heading out to do some tidying in the garden and enjoy the sunshine. This is my DT card for Crafter’s Companion where our challenge this month is pink and green. I used one of Humphrey's Corner stamps featuring Humphrey's sister Lottie opening a gorgeous box of choccies. She has been coloured with Spectrum Noirs. Papers are from one of the Humphrey CDs. I used an MS border punch and Sizzix swirl corner. Flowers and pearl bow are from Wild Orchid, ribbon from stash, rose leaves from Crafty Emma's. Did you know Emma has an amazing 20% off everything in store? Grab yourself a bargain today.
