Another play with Card-io stamps and a very different scene this time. I am enjoying trying different things with them. I coloured the card with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness distress oxides then sprayed it with water. I then created the scene using various Card-io stamps adding a little more of the rustic wilderness for shading.
With the cost of postage rising again next month I am trying to create more flat cards.

Postage is getting ridiculous, I sent a card overseas the other day which was over £4 and that's before the increases. Love seeing your Card-io makes.

Another lovely scene Marianne… the postage cost are getting ridiculous, I stopped sending overseas cards a couple of years ago and this will probably be the last year I do a craft fair…you can still make beautiful flat cards or cards that fold flat.

Did you know that the PO is phasing out stamps with the Queens head on them for barcoded stamps, this is to happen in a couple of years. If like me you buy stamps in bulk around Christmas time, you might be able to swap them for the new stamps, as you won't be able to use them. I read this on a online news paper.
The price of stamps is so high It's making me think that I might have to give up sending cards especially at Christmas, but that would be a pity, Kate x
