How to colour clouds

Yesterday Pauline asked me how I managed to do the clouds around a digi image. It is a bit tricky and delicate when you get near a coloured image but these are the products I use to create a cloudy sky. I bought a pack of 5 of these brushes from Amazon and have just bought another pack of 10 as I have bought a couple more distress oxides, They also work well with other ink pads. I keep each brush for one ink pad.  The stencil is from MFT.

Thanks Marianne … love that stencil. I too use those brushes ..they are great aren’t they I bought a second set. I think my question really meant, how do you manage to get so precisely up to the edges of a digi image?? If I am stencilling behind a stamped image I either do the stencilling first, or if that doesn’t work I stamp my image into masking sheet and mask the original … but can’t do that with a digi. Your stencilling is amazingly precise so I just wondered if you have any tips 😀

I love the brushes and get a better finish than with the round pads. I've a a very similar stencil and find it so useful, thanks for showing how you do your clouds, Kate x

Thanks Marianne. Love that stencil, I will put it on my very long wish list LOL. These brushes are fabulous, I bought some of those for maquillage and work well.
