Vintage Anniversary

What fabulous Autumn weather we are having. Hope you are too. I've been out all day but just checking some blogs and found I won a stamp in the SN bloghop, woo hoo. My card today is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where we have a bingo challenge. I've used lace, ribbon and bows and a very sweet Sarah Kay stamp. I've never tried a brown monochrome image before and am really pleased with the result. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with gold highlights with a Sakura Gold Star pen. The paper is Paper Cellar Classic Victorian. I've used some lace I bought at Ally Pally and the MS heart border punch, brown ribbon and a couple of bows from stash.

Apologies if I haven't commented much this week but I am snowed under with DT work for Crafter's Companion. Lots to do in a short timescale.

Challenges:
Crafty Ribbons Ribbon and lace
Papertake Get in Shape (3 different shapes - diecut, ticket, heart)

Robin Redbreast

I'm back as promised with my second Christmas card for today. It's my DT card for Winter Wonderland where the lovely Suzi has challenged us to use a Robin on our cards. I chose this cute stamp from Little Claire which I coloured with Promarkers and Sakura clear star pen. I added glitter to his hat of course. I used some lovely new papers, Marianne Designs Merry Little Christmas. The holly was made with a Woodware punch and card candi. I was looking for something to finish off the card and found the gold swirly embellie in my stash. I bought it in Florida when I was there last Christmas.

Cute witch

Here's my second post today and it's my DT card for Squiggle Stamps. I've used digi Miss Evie Witchy coloured with Promarkers. I'm loving these vibrant colours. The pieces of black ribbon were cut from inside a new top from M&S. In fact the reverse of one piece reads Marks and Spencer but as it is stuck down you can't see that. My hubby always laughs when I save all these bits of ribbon.  You can buy Miss Evie Witchy here and, along with some other digis, she is available at a reduced price. Also, don't forget out current challenge, Thanks, which ends tomorrow. You can enter using any image.

The flowers were made with a Marianne die and Woodware holly punch. All the card used is Centura Pearl from Crafter's Companion. I would like to enter this into the anything goes challenge at Scrapbook Sisters and winter theme with a sentiment at Aud Sentiments. I'll be back later with my Squiggle Stamps card.

Today's second sneak peek

I'm spoiling you all with a second sneak peek today. Please scroll down for today's other post. Not long to wait now for these SWALK cuties to be released. I've coloured the image with Spectrum Noirs and used DI Broken China around the image again. Everything else is from the CD except the MS punched snowflakes. I hope you'll be tuning in on Friday. I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek and my Squiggle DT card.

Wheeeee..... another sneak peek

The background card is Core'dinations which I sanded. Backing paper is from the new SWALK CD. The image has been coloured with Spectrum Noirs. I was really pleased with the way the sledge came out on this one as it really does look like wood. I used DI Broken China around the image. I am waiting for another parcel from Crafter's Companion to be delivered today and have a lot of samples to get made for them during the next week. I am also going on holiday next month and am getting ahead with all my DT work so apologies if I don't have as much time for blogging as usual.

I found my family in a book

As promised I'm back with a second post today. Please scroll down for today's SWALK sneak peek. When I went to Ally Pally recently I almost a couple of the Gorjuss girl stamps but bought so much other stuff that I didn't buy any. However Lynsey knew how much I liked them and bought me one for my Birthday. She is called I found my family in a book and I adore her. In fact she matches the bag I had as one of my Birthday pressies from my hubby. I saw these bags a while back and we found them in a shop in the New Forest when we went away recently.

So, onto my card which has been coloured with Promarkers. The edges have been coloured with Broken China DI, papers are Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage which I bought from Crafty Emma's. I used some lovely seam binding I bought at Ally Pally, Prima flowers and brads. I used the great sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and would like to enter this into the challenge of seeing red at CES and anything goes at By the cute and girly.

I hope you all had a good weekend. It's time for me to share another sneak peek of the new SWALK collection. This time I have used 2 of the stamps on one card. Backing paper is from the new Winter Cheer CD. I tore some white paper to give the appearance of snow and added a Papermania white glitter strip. The images have been coloured with Spectrum Noirs and glitter added to all the fur. The sentiment is also from the CD. Glittery snowflakes from Michaels with MS punched snowflakes on top.

SWALK sneak peek 3

Good morning everyone. Thanks for your Birthday wishes. I had a lovely Birthday yesterday with a day out in Holt and an excellent lunch. It was cold but dry and started to rain as we left so spent a cozy evening indoors. Really gloomy here today and raining so after a trip to Morrisons hope to have some crafting and blogging time.

I've made something different today for my SWALK sneak peek and decorated a bag. A good bit of recycling here.  Here's a view of the front.

The papers are from the new Winter Cheer CD and the gorgeous girl shopping is one of the 12 new stamps. I used my new Grand Calibur and large Nesties for the die cuts. The label and sentiments are from the CD. I used various Marianne Dies for the leaves and flowers. Here's the back of the bag.

Ooh La La

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for the Crafter's Companion bloghop. This is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where we have a fun challenge entitled Ooh La La. I have used a digi image from Fairydoodler coloured with Promarlers and have gone for a distressed look. I stamped some peach Core'dinations with a Crafty Individuals stamp I won recently and then scrunched and tore it. (I know I am getting brave with this distressing aren't I.) The pins are from The Hobby House and the ribbon was bought at Ally Pally. The lace was a RAK from my teamie Hazel. Scroll was made with a Sizzix corner die.

It's time for a SWALK Bloghop

Baby boy's First Christmas

Our hot weather has finally disappeared and today can't seem to make it's mind up. One minute showery, then the sun comes out. Definitely cooler though, we've gone from abut 25 degrees to about 15 predicted today. My craftroom is lovely and warm though as it has the airing cupboard in it.

My card today is for a baby boy's first Christmas. I wanted to us a different image for this one from the usual Pink Gem one I often use and thought this little bear was perfect. He is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I really love these flexmarkers and can't wait to get some more of them. Papers are MME Snowed in and DCWV Winter stack. I made some heart corners using a Sizzix die and added the ribbon and hearts. The sentiment is from a Humphrey's Corner stamp die cut with a Spellbinder label die.

This is one of my new Simply Sassy girls from Sugar Nellie. She has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Papers are HOTP Vacation. I added some ricrac. pins, Marianne die cut flowers and pearls. The middle of the flower is actual a poinsettia die but I thought it worked well as a centre.

I shall also be entering this into the new Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge.

The Kiss

We had a lovely day out yesterday and I popped into a craft shop where I made a very modest purchase of £6.25. I only had time to finish off a DT card and do some bloghopping  but hope to have more crafting time today. I want to get my TV samples finished, only one more to make.

I made this card for a friend's anniversary. She isn't into cute images so I thought this image which I won from Gingerloft was perfect. Papers are Country Companions.I used the MS heart border punch, flowers from Michaels and leaves from Crafty Emma's. I would like to enter this into the challenge of Love at Charisma.

Powder Puff

Sorry for you folks having lots of rain but you probably slept better than we did last night as it was so hot. Seems a bit fresher today and lots of cloud so I think the unseasonal heatwave is over. We're off to the coast today but I wanted to post this card before we go. In fact I was so eager to post it that when I went to add it to the post I found I hadn't uploaded the photo I took yesterday.

It's so easy to use new stamps that sometimes we forget our older ones and I love this sweet bear so thought it was time she was used again. Papers are Prima sweet fairy. I distressed the edges and coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The lace was a RAK from my TG teamie Hazel. I used one of my fave MS border punches and a Nellie die. The flowers are Prima with various buttons and pearls added. I love that little rose button, shame I only found one of those in my stash.

Is it really Autumn?

Well there have been fun and games in blogland the last couple of days. Mr Linky has gone missing from some challenges and I've been commenting and my comments have disappeared. All very frustrating. Perhaps it has been affected by the unseasonably hot weather here in parts of the UK. I can't believe it is 1st October and it's like the middle of Summer, well much better than the Summer we had this year.

Autumn is my favourite Season and always brings to mind holidays in New England. I've never seen foliage like it. This is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where we have great sketch this week and a fab prize of £10 to spend at Joanna Sheen. As it is our 100th challenge there is also a surprise prize for one commentor.

My image today is a new one from Squiggle Stamps called CozyGothGirl. Just looking at her is making me feel hot today but she does look so cozy all wrapped up. She has been coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Echo Park Walk in the Park AGAIN. I've used my MS trellis punch, ribbon, sentiment from Craftwork Cards and some Kars wooden flowers coloured with Promarkers.
Challenges:
The Stamping Boutique Changing of the Seasons
Crafts 4 Eternity Anything Goes
ABC Challenge A is for Anything Goes

Right, let's see if Mr Blogger is playing nicely today and will let me leave some comments. I'll also be announcing the lucky winners of my candy and having a new Birthday candy so check back shortly.

Shhhh... Secret Santa

Firstly I must apologise for my lack of commenting this week. I need to get ahead with my DT cards and also have lots of cards to make for the next Crafter's Companion launch so haven't been able to spend much time on my laptop.  This afternoon I thought I would do some commenting and I am posting comments and they are not appearing! Very frustrating.

This week at Winter Wonderland it's Squirrel's first challenge and the theme this week is How Charming so we want to see a charm on your Christmas card. I have used another of my new Sugar Nellie stamps from the Simply Sassy range, called Secret Santa. I have coloured her with Promarkers and added glitter flock to the fur. The card is an 8" x 8" one and I have used some beautiful 12" papers from Deja Vu called Fairisle. I love the folksy look of these papers and red and blue is one of my fave Christmas colour combos. I've used the MS zigzag punch all over the place and a Sizzix corner die. The flowers were made using Marianne poinsettia dies and Core'dinatiosn which I sanded for a distressed look. The pins I bought at a show last year and I think the charm is from the Hobby House. I love using charms and really must use them more especially on larger cards.

I am out at a Macmillan coffee morning selling my cards so have scheduled this post and will link to the challenges Friday afternoon.
Challenges:
The Sugar Bowl Erika's lovely sketch which I rotated
Simon Says Anything Goes
I love Promarkers Distressing
Paper Sundaes Anything Goes

New Home in Autumn Colours

I hope the weather is as good where you are as we have another beautiful sunny morning here. I have a really busy day today, dreaded h/w to do, ironing and loads of crafting to get done.  Tomorrow is Macmillan's world's biggest coffee morning and I shall be at one in Swanton Abott with my card stall so need to finish off some stuff for that too.

This is my DT card for Squiggle Stamps using one of the new Autumn images. Our current challenge is Autumnal colours and you can now use any image to enter. It ends tomorrow so get your entries in. This lamppost is useful for so many cards and can of course be combined with other images as it is a digi. I inserted it into Word and added a textbox with no lines into the blank sign to make it a new home card. The papers are Echo Park Walk in the Park. I seem to be using those a lot at the moment as the colours are just right for Autumn cards. I used the MS zigzag border punch and a flower punch with card candi. Image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and outlined in DI Victorian Velvet. I used a lovely new Nestie to cut out the image. I've wanted this set for ages and managed to get them at Ally Pally. Visit Squiggle Stamps online shop to check out the latest images and grab yourself a bargain with some reduced images.
I would like to enter this into the challenges of anything goes at Sweet Stampin' and  Penny's .

Up the City

This is my second post today. I was going to post this tomorrow but may not get time until tomorrow evening so thought I would post tonight instead. A very unusual colour combo for me but yellow and green are the colours of Norwich City and as this card is to sell I thought I should use these colours. Maurice is a Pollycraft digi which I have coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I am loving these new Flexmarkers. I added glossy accents to his glasses and softened the edges with DI Frayed Burlap and distressed the edges of the back paper. Papers are Echo Park Walk in the Park, which are such lovely bright colours. I have used MS Cherish PATP punches on the green paper. The 3D football sticker was from an old sticker set. The green gingham ribbon is bordered by some brown suede strips which were saved from a clothes label.
Challenges:
Dutch Dare Great sketch
Crafty Sentiments Banners/bunting/flags

Snowman Hugs

If you were watching the Pick of The Week at the weekend on Create and Craft you will have seen the above card a few times. It's a digi stamp from the new Snowman Walking In The Air CD which has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens. Papers are from the first Snowman CD. I used an MS border punch and made the snowflakes with white and blue Centura Pearl card, a Marianne die and MS punch. Some card candi and a sentiment form the new CD to finish.
Challenges:
Moving along with the times 3 DPs, 2 types of embellishment, 1 image

Pile of pressies

After completing my flexmarker chart with my new pen colours and undoing all the packaging and finding homes for my lovely new stash I only had time to make one card yesterday and had no time for blogging and commenting. I did use a few bits of my new stash on my card though. The image is an old Penny Black who has been coloured with Promarkers. I used DI Victorian Velvet round the edges and Sakura Golden Star pen for highlights on the pressies. The gingham strips and sentiment are Craftwork Cards. Papers are some new Marianne Merry Little Christmas. I love the rich autumnal shades of these papers. Velvet ribbon from the Hobby House, embellies from The Works.

Magical Monday Christmas in September

Had a fantastic day yesterday at Ally Pally with Lynsey and Lisa.

Thanks to my lovely hubby who drove us there and then went off to the Science Museum. By the time we got home he'd heard quite enough crafty chat for one day! We had a lovely chat with Vicky, Jacqui and Heidi. I wanted to try out the flexmarkers and what a lovely surprise when the demonstrator recognised me as it was Sarah one of my teamies from Totally Gorjuss. I had met Jacqui before but not the other ladies so it was great to meet them. I am busy sorting out all my new stash and finding a home for it before I start to play. I didn't buy any stamps (!!!!) as I have bought several lately but wanted mainly embellies and dies. I also got a 12 x 12 Tim Holtz paper pack I have wanted for ages at a bargain price of £12.99 .

Here's my new stash.

Birds of a feather

If you are reading this on Saturday then that means my scheduled post has worked as I am at the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally, hopefully meeting some crafting friends and buying lots of lovely new stash. This is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where our challenge is Birds of a Feather. This had me searching through my digis and I found this cute Digistamp Boutique pair of lovebirds. They have been coloured with Promarkers and teamed with a heart doily and Paper Cellar Victorian Classic paper. The sentiment, bow and heart I found in my stash and the roses are from Michaels. I hope you'll join us this week for the chance to win a voucher from the lovely Lili of the Valley. I am entering this into the monthly competition at Digistamp Boutique.
