Now these are something that look much better in real life. I thought I would have a break from my cross stitch LOTV fairy picture and try a couple of bookmarks using some free patterns from Durene Jones on Facebook. I started with the owl one and of course it wasn't quick to make at all. There are so many small sections in different colours and lots of backstitching. The butterfly one was much quicker. I backed them with felt and blanketstitched around the edges. They will be on sale at my craft fair next Wednesday.

Lovely bookmarks, those butterflies are so sweet. It's the backstitching on cross stitch that I'm not keen on doing, sometimes takes ages, but then it does finish a pic off well x
They look gorgeous in pictures, too!! So beautiful!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Adorable bookmarks hun. You can't beat cross-stitching. Love them both xx
I have had to put my big one on hold too as I have a birth sampler to make a a few xmas ones to make in to cards, I could stitch all day every day but its making me lazy, so now I do all my jobs before I start as I can get lost in my own little world, these are both gorgeous I love to see finished products with stitching, I usually just leave mine then donate them, but I may have a go at making something now I have been inspired, hugs Pops x
