A sunny day at the beach

It's the Stamposaurus beach hut this time. You should see these samples on the website soon and if you are going to any of the large craft fairs you may see some of them on the stand. I bought some little frames recently on Facebook and this is the first card one has suited. It fitted perfectly over the starfish and sun.
I wanted to get lots of different textures but keeping that beach feel.

Let's go surfing

Thanks for all your encouragement on my colouring yesterday. I made a card on Friday which took ages as it is an 8 x 8 card with a complex image and  am so pleased with it, especially my colouring. I am actually pleased with the skin too. I can't share it yet as the person it was ordered for may see it on Facebook.

I've another of my Stamposaurus samples to share today. I try to make these samples as varied as possible and use lots of different colours so I've gone with oranges and browns for this one.

Hand me Downs

Time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss and it's a really easy challenge this week, Happy. We are sponsored by The Ribbon Girl and Saturated Canary and the DT were lucky enough to choose an image to use. I chose hand me downs, isn't she pretty. I am finding working out the colour combos for my new Copics a challenge, but one I am enjoying. They are very different to colour with and it will take me a while to improve so bear with my colouring in the meantime. Pretty pleased with the hair, though not perfect but her skin looks a bit orange. I am using the colours others recommend just need to perfect the technique.

Making a new dress

Had a great night out on Tuesday night, went for a meal and then the theatre to see the band Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. I love Fleetwood Mac and this tribute band are endorsed by the group and they were amazing. Yesterday I finished the last of 8 samples for Stamposaurus and need to get some orders completed today. Then I can move on to getting some more stock made.

Its midway reminder time at Crafty Ribbons where our challenge is button it up. I've made another sewing card using some of the new ribbon and buttons from Crafty Ribbons. The papers are Papermania Happy Days, sewing machine is a digi from The Crafty Pad, dress form from Craftwork Cards. The lace is also from Crafty Ribbons. There are some fabulous boxes of buttons to be won so hop over and join in.

White on White

I've never tried just a white on white card before but have been wanting to give it a go so here it is. Not at all easy to photograph though. I have used linen and Centura pearl card for different textures. I've used a Sizzix embossing folder and MB Prim Poppy and floral vine dies and Cheery Lynn butterfly dies. Just an added bow and there you have it. Rather elegant isn't it.

Computer guy

I think this is the first card on my blog coloured solely with Copics, what do you think? I am still practicing with my colour combinations especially as I have far less pens than I did Promarkers but I shall be building up my collection. The image is a great one from Ladybug Crafts Ink. Papers are Bo Bunny Timepiece and I added some PaperCellar embellies. This is a commissioned card for somebody's son who has just won a place at a top technical college in Europe.

I would like to enter this into the intriguing challenge of An eye for details at Cute Card Thursday. No clues from the challenge, just use your own interpretation.  So mine is the fact that he is wearing glasses and also that you have to have an eye for detail when using a computer.

I had a very busy week last week, sorting through all the WW DT applications, sorting all my stuff for sale and then the printer issues. I love my new printer though so glad that is sorted. I also have several orders and card samples to make for Stamposaurus so sorry if I haven't visited. I do spend time every day commenting but there just never seems enough time as I would like. As for Pinterest I am not starting that otherwise I would never make anything!

Out of this world

Here I am with another new image from Stamposaurus and another fun one isn't it, another great male image. I used some WE R Memory Keepers Travel Light papers, card candi and a K & Co arrow. The image has been coloured with  mix of Copics and Promarkers with some added Sakura Goldstar. I am loving my Copics and now I have more of them will only be using them from now on. I have sold quite a few Promarkers on Facebook and all but 3 of my Flexmarkers. If there are any you would like to buy then please e-mail me. I have a few new ones which I bought as spares. I am selling them at bargain prices.

Enjoy your Sunday

Lighthouse Blue

This week at Totally Gorjuss we are looking for men's cards and we are sponsored by Heather's Hobby Haven. I have used another of my samples for Stamposaurus. I love all the little details on this lighthouse, even  Amanda's little snail pops up near the top.

The most wonderful time of the year!

Yes, our challenge at Winter Wonderland this week is It's the most wonderful time of the year - a Christmas card. From this week onwards Christmas projects only so you can be well prepared for December if you play along with us every week. This week we have 2 lovely sponsors, Crafty-emblies with a £10 goody box and Ladybug Crafts Ink with a £10 voucher.

The craft fair sales on Wednesday were excellent, one of my best ever, so a good day. Then yesterday I tries to print something and the printer stopped working. Tried the diagnosis and there is a problem with the cartridge alignment and the black won't work.  It is only two years old but I can't be without a printer so headed off to Currys and bought a lovely new printer. £70 off, just been reduced that day. Got home, couldn't get it to connect to Wi-Fi, grrr. Tried several times and rang the guy who sorts out these things and he is coming this morning. He said lots of the new printers are difficult to install theWi-Fi.  Great! I'm sure he will sort it, but that's more money!

Beach Hut

Stamposaurus are launching some more quirky stamps and I am lucky to be playing with to produce some samples for the website and craft shows. This one is Beach Hut and I decided to go with a very pretty pink card. After all beach huts can be any colour. I teamed it with some free papers, distressed and sanded Core'dinations, baker's twine and cute bucket and spade charm from eBay. I made some bunting to match the bunting on the hut.

Changing pens

Now you may be wondering about the title of my post today. Then again, you may not! I have been thinking for a while of changing from Promarkers and Flexmarkers to Copics and last week decided to buy 6 to give them a try. I have to say I absolutely love them. I have learnt an awful lot using Promarkers but am now selling them and as I sell some will buy more Copics. It will take me a while so for the moment, like this card, I shall be using both. So, the hair, boots and skin are coloured with Copics. Not perfect I know, but it takes a bit of practice learning new colours and of course I only have 6 to play with. I have sold some pens though and have 21 more Copics coming. I am selling them on some Facebook groups at the moment but if any of you are interested then please e-mail me.

So, onto my card, whihc is a Simply Sassy image from Sugar Nellie. The papers are First Edition Blank Canvas and I've simply added some pearls and Cheery Lynn die cut butterflies. Minimal embellishments for me but it didn't seem to need any more as the image is quite large and the papers so pretty and sparkly.

Fairy and Dove

I have my first craft fair next Wednesday and really need to get more Mother's Day and Easter cards made. I was out all day yesterday but am intending to spend most of today crafting so should get a few made.

I bought some new LOTV stamps at the end of last year and with so many Christmas cards to make this is the first chance I have had to use some of them. She is holding the dove so tenderly isn't she. She has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and I have used stickles on her wings, Sakura clearstar pen on the flowers and dress and Viva Decor pearl pen. The papers are MME Blush and I have used DI Antique Linen. I have long admired the Marianne fence die and when I saw it for sale on Facebook snapped it up. I have also used MB bird and dragonfly dies.

I have used some spider's webbing behind the image, isn't it fab. The sentiment is LOTV, corner from The Hobby House and I have used MB party lanterns die with sanded Core'dinations and pearls. Brrr and candy winner

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for a Christmas card.

The car boot sale went well yesterday. We sold £54 worth of which £16 was crafty stash, so well worth spending a Saturday morning. It was well attended and nice and warm.

I was inspired by a great sketch on the Docrafts site to create this scrapbook page. It was taken one day on holiday last October. I knew it would be cold, which is why I am wearing three layers plus hat, scarf and gloves but as you can see by my face it was colder than expected. I have continued with my craftroom sortout and found an X cut shape cutter I had forgotten all about. It was perfect for making the circle shape. I have also used MB cloud dies and a Marianne corner die, all with sanded Core'dinations.

That's you,  Lorraine B. Congratulations, please e-mail me.

Sadly no everybody followed the rules. For example 75 entered but only 49 people left a comment so I had to redraw to find somebody who had commented and placed a pic in their sidebar.

Yes, must keep up with those Christmas cards and I have used a cute Sugar Nellie stamp which I chose when I won their Facebook challenge early January. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added loads of glitter to the snowman and Santa. The lovely vintage papers are Kaisercraft Dear Santa. Vintage Bag

Our challenge this week at Totally Gorjuss is anything goes with lace. I thought I would try something different for a change and instead of using a stamped image or a topper on a bag had a play around with some dies and came up with this vintage style I coloured a doily with DI Dusty Concorde and added a large Prima Flower which I decorated with Stickles. I used a Marianne leaf, MB floral vine, bird and birdcage dies. The green card is Cor'dinations which I sanded. The lace is from Crafty Ribbons, pins from stash. Has it stopped raining?

Friday and time for my snowflakes team to choose the challenge and this week the theme is monochrome. This will be the last non Christmas challenge for our team. Of course you can choose to make a Christmas project if you like. You must only use one colour plus skin and hair. I don't often make an all blue card and I find black hair quite difficult so challenged myself with this card. Her hair isn't perfect but it probably the best black hair I have managed so far. I've used a gorgeous Saturated Canary image and Papermanis Capsule papers. I've added stickles to her petticoat and glossy accents for the puddle. I've used MS cherish border punch, MB umbrella and cloud dies with sanded Core'dinations and Centura pearl card. Come and join in the challenge and you could win a £10 voucher from
