The Holly and The Ivy

Here I am with my DT card for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge. I'm hosting the challenge of Holly and/or Ivy. You can use either or both on your card, as much or as little as you like. I hope you'll join us for the chance to win a Simon Says $15 voucher. I seem to be having a Pollycraft week this week as I have used another of Paula's fab digis. This is Aurelia. I've used an ivy leaf punch and Sizzix holly leaves around the gorgeous flower from Michaels. The 3D sentiment was from an old set I found. The swirl is also from a Sizzix die and I used an MS PATP set. Papers are last year's Papermania Penelope and Percy. There's lots of glitter on the papers and on the fur on her clothes.

Challenges:
I love Promarkers Christmas in July
2 Sisters Christmas in July
CES Christmas
Delightful Christmas in July

Allsorts Free and easy

Stamp Something Embellish something

I had a very exciting parcel delivered yesterday, 72 Spectrum Noir pens. These are released today at Crafter’s Companion. There are 168 different colours available and there are some special offers on the website. Now if you are a regular reader you will know how much I love my Promarkers. I received the Spectrum Noir pens as part of my DT work for Crafter's Companion and hoped I would like them. Well I can tell you I love them. They are double ended alcohol markers. The fine end is a hard nib like PMs but a bit finer and they blend beautifully. One of the great things about them is the price and the fact that they are refillable. I haven't tried them with my PMs yet but think they would work well with either these or Copics. If you are on Facebook head over to the I'm a Crafter's Companion page and check out the chatter from the rest of the DT who are also loving them. I need to get my samples finished which I'll be showing you from next Tuesday. You are going to love these new stamps.

Refreshment time

I'm back with my second card for today. Please scroll down for my first DT card for Squiggle Stamps. This is my third guest designer card for Cute Card Thursday where this week's challenge is For His Eyes Only. I have used a Pollycraft image from the Swings and Slides set and papers from Wild Rose Mens. I used some Baker's Twine and an MS simple scallop border punch. I bought a pack of baseball cap buttons from a bargain bin at a craft show, 5 for 50p, and it fits this image so well. I love rummaging through the bargains at craft shows as you never know what you will find. Talking of shows I'm planning to go the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally on the Saturday in September. If you're also going hope to see you there.

Challenges:
Pollycraft Summer fun
Birthday Sundaes Anything Goes Birthday

Flowers for you

Well here I am with my first DT card for Squiggle Stamps. If you follow the link you can see my post plus many more beautiful cards from the rest of the DT. I will be posting a card every other Thursday on that blog. There are some lovely new digis available and a really cute new range coming soon so become a follower of the Squiggle Stamps blog to make sure you don't miss the new release.

I have used Miss Evie Frills and Flowers for my easel card and teamed her with my fave paper pack which is Papermania Henbury Lane. I just might have to see if this is still available at the Range and pick up another pack. I've used an MS border punch and Crealie swirls with pink pearlised card from Crafter's Companion. The patterned flowers are Fizzy Moon with some white mulberry flowers which I coloured with a Promarker. I've also used some of my fave raffia lace from Quixotic Paperie.

Here's a closer look at the front of the card. This image is available to buy in either rubber or digi here.  If you enter my candy in the post at the top of my blog you could win a £10 voucher to spend at Squiggle Stamps.

Now you know I love my Promarkers but I am very excited today as I am waiting for my new Spectrum Noir pens to arrive from Crafter's Companion to use on some lovely new samples. These are available to buy from tomorrow.

I would like to enter this into the challenges of seeing double at Crafty Creations and sentiment to make someone smile at Aud Sentiments.

Nice surprise today.

Time for pudding

Time to get some more Christmas cards I thought so here's one using a gorgeous Cherry Kisses image from Pollycraft.  I often go for just one or two colours in a card but thought I'd go for a nice bright card picking up the colours from the background paper. The papers are Kars X-mas. I embossed the blue card with Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls. The holly is made from Sizzix die cuts and card candi.

Challenges:

Stamp with fun Great sketch

Taking a bath

Well I never got back on the laptop yesterday as hubby wanted to use it to complete the holiday DVD he is making from our March holiday. Still he is at work today so I have it all to myself and will be able to do some visiting and commenting later. I also have a large pile of ironing as I did 2 loads of washing yesterday. Just as well as it poured later on and today is dull and rainy too.

This is my DT card for Whoopsi Daisy where this week's challenge is Sparkle and Shine. I think this is such a fun and cute image with her clothes and wand hanging up waiting to be put on. I added glitter to the bath and wings, used a Sakura rosestar pen on lots of the details and added a glittery bow and pearls and used glossy accents to the mirror for the sparkle and shine. The ribbon roses I found in my stash and added rose petal leaves from Joanna Sheen and some lace. The paper I also found in my stash so no idea what make it is. It is so pretty that I only use one DP on this card for a change.

Other challenges:
The Emerald Faerie All things nice (girly)
Paperplay Things with wings
Crafts 4 Eternity 3,2,1 (3 roses, 2 leaves, 1 bow, lace, image)
Totally Papercrafts Girly girls

Friends

Good morning everyone. Goodbye to 2 followers, have no idea why people stop following as I never do but there you go. We had a lovely evening, the rain stopped just as we got to Cromer and it turned into a lovely evening. We had a nice mean and the show was really good. It's the last end of the pier show in England and if you get the chance to see it then do. It was very funny, great singers and dancers and a really sweet little theatre which we locals need to support.

I've mad another Popcorn Pals card using papers and a diamond twisterpage from the CDs. The ribbon is also from Crafter's Companion, sentiment from one of the Popcorn Pals stamp sets. I used a MS PATP punch set and added some gem butterflies.

Challenges:
Forever Friends Not square
Kaboodle Doodles Use those scissors (I hope cutting out all the image counts)
Crafts and Me Summertime
Colour Create Cream, aqua and pale pink
Fussy and Fancy Summer
Hooked on Craft With love
CRAFT Butterflies

Unfortunately the ironing is calling so I'll hop back later for some blogging.

I like to ride my bicycle

Well as predicted it is pouring with rain so instead of having a lovely walk at the seaside we have been to Sainsburys and won't be leaving until later this afternoon just in time to have a meal and see the Cromer Pier Show. I don't expect to be wearing my heavy waterproof in July. Tomorrow more rain is predicted so a day at home is planned with a bit of crafting I'm sure.

My DT card today for Totally Gorjuss is for the One for the Boys challenge. We are sponsored by Simon Says an there are loads of boy challenges this week so I expect a lot of entries again. I know some people don't like making male cards but I love them as they make a change from flowers etc. I have used a fab image from Pollycraft which has been coloured with Promarkers and has glossy accents on his glasses. Papers are the old faithful Dovecraft again. I used my MS cherish punch and a Cuttlebug star die.

I am also entering these challenges:
A Gem Let's hear it for the boys
Send a smile for kids For the boys
Sweet Stampin' One for the boys
Charisma It's in the stars
Sunday sketch and stamp Fab sketch
Pollycraft The great outdoors
Crafty Creations Boyz to men
Creative Inspirations No flowers allowed
Simon Says Anything Goes
Ellephantastic Celebrations
Allsorts Free and easy
Ladybug Crafts Ink Summer Birthdays

Whew, that's more challenges than I normally enter with one card. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope the weather is better where you are.

It's a goal!

This is my second card posted today. I have also posted some candy above.

It has been a beautiful sunny day here today but that's all about to change. We are promised cool, wet and windy weather for the weekend. That's just typical especially as we are going to the Cromer Pier show tomorrow night. I shall look forward to walking along the pier in the wind and rain (not!).

This little footballer is called Stu and he's from Digistamp Boutique so I will be entering him into this month's competition. I used papers from Wild Rose and the old faithful Dovecraft men's pack. The 3D football was amongst some old stash and I added some card candi and a Craftwork Cards sentiment. I used the fab sketch at Willow Sketchie and would also like to enter this into the stitching challenge at Crafty Sentiments and sporty at Here come the boys.

Gorjuss in Purple and a winner

Time for a purple card and an Sugar Nellie image I haven't used for ages. The gorgeous papers are Papermania Heather capsule collection. I bought some pearl ribbon sliders recently along with lots of other goodies from Crafty Emmas and this is the first time I have used one. I really like the effect with the organza ribbon. The flowers are from Crafty Emmas and Michaels with MS punched leaves.

Challenges:
Stamptacular Fab sketch which I rotated
Moving along with the times Favourite things (purple, DP, flowers, ribbon, Sugar Nellie)
Passion for Promarkers Gingham
CES 1 image, 2 ribbons,3 DPs
I will also be entering the Facebook Sugar Nellie challenge of Anything Goes.

Now onto the winner of my candy. I've sent candy to England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Australia, Canada, America and Norway so far as I can remember. There may be others. Here is the winning number
That's you, Pinky, congratulations.

Don't despair though those of you who didn't win as I have another candy which I will be posting today so pop back later.

Floating around

I had a great time yesterday at the Vintage Garden Party. Shame the weather was dull and cool and there were a couple of light short showers but luckily I was inside. I met some lovely people and sold almost £50 worth of cards etc. One of the other stallholders has a shop and jewellery workshop in the next village. She also sells crafts from some local people and has asked me to go and see her as she would like to sell my cards. Very exciting.

Onto my card which is my second DT card for Cute Card Thursday where the challenge is Circles. I made this little scene with some of the transparent Penny Black stamps and thought it was perfect for this challenge with the little circular puffballs. The papers are First Edition Desert Bloom again and the lovely leaves were made with a Crealie die available from Joanna Sheen.

Flying High

This is my second post today. Why is blogger on a go slow tonight? Why aren't my followers showing? Why doesn't spellchecker on new posts work every time rather than some of the time? Why is networked blogs showing my header and a little bit of my post on Facebook? Why do I have a big box of scrap card and hardly ever have the right size in the right colour and end up cutting into a new piece of A4 card?

Enough of my questions let's move onto my card which features one of the latest boy stamps and the postcard stamp from LOTV. He is coloured with Promarkers, papers are Wild Rose for Men. I added a corner, seem to have a thing about these at the mo, a star button and twine and some punched stars.

I used the fab sketch from Donalda at Lili of the Valley and would also like to enter this into the challenges of let's hear it for the boys at A Gem of a Challenge, Birthdays at Wags n Whiskers and Happy Birthday at Penny's.

Believe in fairies

Good morning everyone. I'm having a very busy day today. Have done some housework, washing and ironing and just taking a quick break before heading out to do some gardening. Also sorting out my stuff for Wednesday as I am going to a vintage garden party where I will be selling my cards all day and helping out with book stall etc. Hope the sun shines as it is here at the moment. Hope to get in some crafting and blogging later.

This is my DT card using one of the lovely Linnie's images for Whoopsi Daisy. The papers are Papercellar Victorian Burgundy and Papermania. The sentiment has been distressed with Frayed Burlap DI, flowers are Prima with some material flowers and gems.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Red and green Christmas and some exciting news

Well blogger worked OK with the pic linking today but still can't see my followers but I know you are there. It's a lovely warm Sunday though showers are forecast later so I'm just doing a quick post before we head out for the day.

My card is the completely opposite colours to my challenge at Winter Wonderland where red and green must not be seen. I've used a Sugar Nellie image which tough not a Christmas image looks warm and cosy on a Christmas card I think. Papers are Papermania Classic Christmas. The sentiment and holly border are K&Co.

Challenges:
Sugar Bowl Great sketch
Sir Stampalot Anything Goes
Allsorts Free and Easy
Bling it On Anything Goes
I will also be entering this into the Facebook SN challenge of Christmas.

And my exciting news is that Tracy has invited me to join the DT at Squiggle Stamps. I have always loved these stamps. The funny thing is that I was the first guest designer at Squiggle and it was also my first ever guest design spot. Tracy will be relaunching the monthly challenges so I hop you will hop and over and join in when they start.

Totally Gorjuss Popcorn

Don't know about you but I'm finding blogger a bit of a pain today. That horrible error 503 comes up when I try to comment and I have to try twice to upload piccies. I'm so thrilled to have won Little Claire's last challenge, some yummy goodies coming my way. I was also very happy to make top3 at the 2 Sisters challenge for one of my Popcorn Pals cards. Talking of Popcorn, I've used some Popcorn decoupage for my DT card for the Summertime theme at Totally Gorjuss. we are lucky to be sponsored this week by Crafter's Companion so if you've been enjoying my sneak peeks this week hop over and play and you could win £10 which would buy some lovely new stamps or go towards the CDs. The papers are from one of the Popcorn CDs and I cut out some balloons from the paper and 3D'd them and doodled some string. I added some bunting with faux stitching and ribbon too. I would like to enter this into the challenge of Crafting with or for a child at Crafty Sentiments.

Third post for today

The excitement is building especially on Facebook and I know you can't wait to get your hands on these. This is my third post today and I'm bringing you another of the Popcorn Pals cards. For this one I used four of the stamps to make a little group of friends. The backing butterfly paper is one of my faves from the CDs. I used a scrap from one of the other cards and my MS cherish punch along with Crafter's Companion pearlised card., which I also used for the punched butterflies. I punched some flowers from more scraps and added some pearls. The sentiment is also from one of the stamp sets.

I rotated the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday and would like to enter this into the challenge of something with bugs or butterflies at Stamp Something.

I'm getting ahead with some DT work now as I have just got some more stamps in the post for the end of July launches at Crafter's Companion and these are just gorgeous too.

Have a great weekend everyone and hope the weather improves from this mixture of sunshine and showers we've had for the last few days.

Red and Green must not be seen

This is my second post today. Scroll down for a Popcorn Pals card. This week at Winter Wonderland its my turn to host the challenge and I have chosen red and green must not be seen. We have a great prize on offer -
so I hope you'll come and join us. After all we are more than halfway through the year now. Where did the last 6 months go?

I have chosen to show you one of the cards using the Reddy pyrimage from Crafter's Companion. This pyrimage comes in some wonderful shapes and I just love this sweet image. The papers are from the Snowman CD. I used a Go Kreate die for the backing and embossed it with D'vine Swirls and added some star gems to finish. I would like to enter this into Christmas in July at Moving along with the times and Craft Us Crazy.

Right, must go, washing and housework is calling but I'll be back later.

It's launch day

Yes. launch day for Popcorn Pals has arrived and I'm here to share another card with you. The pyrimage and papers are from the 2 CDs. I use a Michael's border punch to create some interest and added some ribbon. The balloons were made with a Sizzix die, white gel pen, gold pen for string and my new X cut star dies which I also used for the stars at the bottom.

I would like to enter this into the challenge of stars and stripes at My Mum's Craft Shop and Celebrations with the option of stars and stripes at Pollycraft. (The wallpaper is striped and there are stars galore.)

I'm sorry I haven't been commenting as much as usual this week but Crafter's Companion have kept me very busy with this launch and also loads of new Reddy decoupage which will be on TV on Monday. I'll catch up with you as soon as I can and would also like to welcome some more new followers.

I'll be bakc later with another Popcorn pals card and also my Winter Wonderland DT card.

Floral Thank You

This is my second post for today. Scroll down for today's Popcorn Pals card.

I was delighted to be asked to be a guest designer for July at Cute Card Thursday and this week the challenge is lace. I have used one of the Lili of the Valley die cuts as this teddy isn't yet available as a stamp. I have teamed him with some Basic Grey Wisteria papers, white lace and pearls, a K&Co daisy and a Sizzix corner swirl which I cut in half.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at:
Charisma All about flowers
Creative Craft Pretty Blossoms
Papertake Anything Goes
Try it on Tuesday Flower power

I bought a set of the new star X cut nesting dies to try today. I thought they were a good deal as there was a £1 voucher in the Do Crafts mag making them only £8.95. They also had the Tulip range half price so I picked up a few bargains including a stamp set with lots of different images for only £3.48.

Great to see so many entries for my candy. If you haven't entered yet see the post above.

One day to launch day

Only one more sleep and then you can get your hands on these new CDs and stamps from Crafter's Companion. Today I have made an easel card using pyrimage and papers from the first CD. I used an MS topiary border punch on the spotted paper. The sentiment is from one of the stamp sets and has been cut with a  Spellbinder label die. Some Crealie die cut swirls and flowers and brad to finish. There really are some beautiful papers on these CDs.

I would also like to enter this into the challenge at Aud Sentiments of at least 2 word sentiment.

I'll be back later today with my first GDT card for Cute Card Thursday.

Sneak Peek Day 3

I'm back again today with another Popcorn Pals card. I've sen various versions of this little sweetie. I used an insert from the first CD and cut out the white middle and then stuck it another paper from the CD. I stamped and coloured the image with Promarkers and added the stamped balloons which have been attached with Collal 3D glue for dimension. I made some bunting with offcuts of some of the papers and drew some faux stitching. The sentiment is also from the stamp set, which I cut into a triangle to match the bunting.

Don't forget Friday is launch day but this is exclusive to Crafter's Companion members and won't be featured on TV for a while.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Hello

A really big thank you from me for all your lovely comments about my gorgeous new craftroom. You are all so sweet and I'm sorry that you can't all have your own craftroom. I'd love to see you all post pics of your crafting space.

I just want to assure those of you who believe it will soon be messy that you are totally wrong. I just can't help being tidy and organised. I always had a very tidy bedroom when I was a child. I'm the sort of person who files my CD and DVDs alphabetically. My desk at work always had just the piece of work I was currently working on and all the rest neatly in order in trays. Of course it will get messy when I'm working, bits of paper and glitter everywhere but then I'll have to tidy up. I've only had time to make one card in here yet and stamp a few images last night as I have spent the day at my most successful card fair yet, selling cards and tags for £40, so a good day.

My card tonight is my DT card for Totally Gorjuss where we have a lovely sketch to follow. I love a good sketch and used a sweet PB hedgie with First Edition Desert Bloom papers and an MS double loop punch. I just added a couple of 3D ladybirds which I think I bought in America. Quite a simple card for me. We are sponsored by Joanna Sheen so well worth giving the sketch a go for the chance to win a £10 voucher.

I would also like to enter this into the challenge of Woodland Creatures at CES and pink and brown at Little Claire.

My lovely new Craftroom and a winner

Here it is, my lovely new Craftroom. It's been quite difficult to take pictures as the airing cupboard is just inside the door on the right so it's hard to get far enough back to fit it in. I had the shelves specially made and how wonderful to have all my punches at hand instead of scrabbling round in a drawer as I had them before. The coloured plastic drawers you can see are part of an 11 drawer unit from Hobbycraft. It has all colours in it so I swapped them around so that the pinks and purple are at the top. These house my papers and card.
The small drawers hold all my Promarkers, conveniently situated on my desk.

The teapot, cup and cupcake string with pegs is the item I bought at the Royal Norfolk Show. Only £5 and just perfect for holding sketch and challenge details.

Here you can see some work from Crafter's Companion on my desk and a view of my lovely new purple chair which is so comfortable and comes with loads of adjustments. Expensive but worth it.

The other side of the room with a smaller desk and a cupboard unit which was in the room before and is perfect for housing lots of stash.

As you can see I have a thing about pretty storage boxes.

2 handy noticeboards as a reminder of things I need to print and days to post DT cards. The one on the right holds a large e-mail from Sara at Crafter's Companion detailing lots of launches for July. The wall at the back is the side of the airing cupboard. CD rack and laptop conveniently to hand and away from the crafting desk.

I am so happy with my room after 5 years of working on the dining table and having my stuff all over the house. I'm sure I won;t have everything in the right place but need to use it and see how it goes. I hope to finally have some time to make something this evening now it is all sorted.

And the moment you have been waiting for, dada, the winner of my candy is..........
That's Shirley C aka Nannieflash. Congratulations Shirley, e-mail me your address and I'll get your goodies in the post to you. Welcome to all my new followers. I do hope you will continue to follow me I have another small candy to give away to celebrate my Craftroom and I'll post that above.

Chocolate Chip

What a busy day yesterday moving all my craft stash upstairs and deciding where to put it in my lovely new craftroom. I am very happy to be typing this today from my new space. I'll be back later with some pics, the winner of my candy and another little candy.

This card is quite a different one for me especially as there are no papers. The background was made with the Tim Holtz Core'dinations and a swiss dots and star Cuttlebug embossing folders. The stars were made with a Sizix die. I sanded al the card for a vintage look which suits the image from the Appley Dapply range perfectly. This is my DT card for the monthly challenge of One for the Boys. There's a £30 voucher to be won for Crafter's Companion and with so many new products and many more coming up in July this would be a great prize to win.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
DYSU Squares
Charisma Ice cream colours (Choc chip)
Craft Your Days Away Vintage
