That stamp again

We have been away for a couple of days in Birmingham as we went to see Simple Minds and Ultravox in concert last night. We had a fantastic day yesterday. There was a wonderful German Christmas market and we were in the library having a coffee when we saw all these people waiting for somebody and it was Prince William. We were about three feet away from him when he came in. The concert was brilliant. On our way home this morning.

I have used that lovely Woodware stamp again. Last Saturday it was white on white, then Monday paper pieced and today I have coloured it with Copics. The papers are Marianne Designs Eline's Merry Little Christmas. I have used a new Marianne border die I bought at the NEC along with Marianne large and small poinsettias. The holly leaves were made with a Woodware punch and I added a holly leaf charm, pearls, Viva pear pen drops and stickles.

Challenges

I will have the iPad in the car so if the 3G signal is working ok I will link my challenges and catch up with a bit of blogging, if not will do when we get home. My candy ends today, see post above.

Make a scene

The two craft fairs at the weekend went really well. In fact so well I am a bit short of stock for the last two in two week's time so I will be busy making more. Some of them are quite simple cards and these are proving very popular with customers. For this one I used a Die-namics snowdrift die and a new MB die. The sentiment is a Marianne die and stamp set and I used an old Cuttlebug embossing folder with sanded Core'dnations and added lots of stickles.

This is my second card today.

Well I don't seem to be showing many cards I have coloured at the moment but as I have been trying to build up my stocks again after selling so many cards these gorgeous precoloured Wee toppers make much quicker cards. I was asked at a recent craft fair if I had any calendars so I thought I would have a go at making some. I bought the calendars and the chipboard heart at the NEC. Sewing Bookmark

You may have noticed that I love making sewing cards though I don't sew nowadays. I used to like embroidery, patchwork and cross stitch before I discovered cadmaking. I thought a sewing bookmark would be fun for my DT make this week for the anything goes with ribbon at Crafty Ribbons. I stamped various sewing stamps which were a mag freebie, using Memento Rich Cocoa and then used DI tattered Rose. The diecuts are Tim Holtz and I used ric rac and tape measure ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. The bows and baker's twine are from stash.

Christmas Post

Saw a very nice specialist yesterday about my back and he explained that the fracture has healed but unfortunately one of my vertebrae is compressed which is what cause the pain at times. I have some exercises to do and in time the pain should get less and the compression will ease but it will never fully recover. I am so relieved that I don't have to have surgery. Thanks for all your good wishes.

When I went to the NEC I was so disappointed that Craftwork Cards did not have a stand as these shaped cards and the Christmas Post papers were on my wish list (along with a lot of other things). I found the card blanks on Little Claire's stand and about an hour before I left spotted a Christmas Post pack with not only the gorgeous papers, but flowers and tags and candi. I adore this pack and will be using it a lot, the vintage look is fabulous and goes so well with my new Inkylicious stamp which I stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa onto some new linen card I bought at the NEC. Everything else is from the pack except the bow which also came from the show.

First play with some new dies

I have so much lovely new stuff to play with and so many ideas whirling round in my head for some different Christmas cards to the usual cute images. I am still loving my cute images of course but as I had another good craft fair on Saturday I am glad to have lots of ideas for non coloured cards as they are quicker and I need to build up my stock.

I decided to make an almost white on white card, just having a small amount of blue in the First Edition Silent Night backing paper. I was so pleased that the Memory Box deer trio cute from Centura pearl fit perfectly inside my floral oval diecut from white (yes it is white!) glitter card. I used the negative from a new Memory Box die for Christmas and Hapy is a new Britannia die which came with Christmas and Birthday dies so they will be very useful. I also used a MB snowflake die and added a couple of pearls.

Vintage Guest Designer

This is my second card today, please scroll down for my Crafty Little Fairies DT card.

I was thrilled to receive a lovely email from Sande inviting me to be a guest designer for November at It's all about the vintage and beauty. The theme this week is fancy edged scissors/punches.  I only recently discovered this challenge and as I love making vintage cards I will be playing along regularly. My sewing cards sell so well that I thought it ime to make another. I don't usuually leave mt buttons naked unless they are tiny ones but somehow these looked right this way.

I stamped the Kaisercraft with Memento Rich Cocoa and teamed ith my fave papers of the moment, Prima Lyric. I distressed the edges with my TH tool and DI Vintage Photo. The embellishments are all from stash.

By the time this publishes I will have made several purchases at Hobbycrafts at the NEC.

Another CAS Robin

Today's challenge at Crafty Little Fairies is Christmas in November and we have a great prize this week of a £10 voucher from

Now for those of you who know me and know Squirrel as well will realise that Squirrel must have had quite a shock when she saw I had chosen to go with a CAS card rather than something more fussy and fancy. I loved making the last CAS one with this image so much I was determined to try another in a different style. The layout came about when I was tidying, something I do al the time I am crafting, believe me I am one of the world's tidiest crafters. These paper strips were lying beside the trimmer and I thought how good they looked together, rather than in the bin. Both my robin cards sold last Wednesday so I want to make some more. I am really enjoying making some cas cards at the moment as well as my usual fussy and fancy style.

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments. I have an appointment at the hospital next Monday morning abut my back so hopefully I will know more after that.

Thankfully it doesn't hurt all the time but sometimes it presses on a nerve and that it is very painful.

Gorjuss Time

Of the three craft fairs last week, two were great, one was disappointing. In fact of the two good ones, one was my best ever fair. In total at the three fairs I sold 55 cards, some tags, notebooks etc and some craft stash.  My stock is rather depleted now so I shall be working to replenish that as I have four more fairs this month.

Here's something you don't see on my blog much, decoupage. It is popular with customers and as I needed to make some quicker cards last week to build up my stock again thought I would use this image I found already made up in my stash.
