Vintage

How sad yesterday to hear of the death of Davy Jones aged only 66. I used to love watching The Monkees every Saturday teatime when I was young and I went to see them at Wembley. My first ever pop concert. I can even rememebr that I was wearing a camel coloured trouser suit (yes that's what they used to call them) with a purple lining, purple patent shoes and a purple shirt. I loved that outfit which is why it sticks in my mind. I have realised how long I have loved purple and there's no changing me now.

Anyway, onto my card which is a complete change of style today. I love trying out something different sometimes. I bought a set of Debbi Moore vintage lady stamps about 3 years ago and have hardly used them. I do love the images but they are quite small and there isn't much to colour. Having seen a few stamped images with no colouring I gave it a go. I stamped the image onto kraft card using DI Vintage Photo and then used that around the edge of the card and the paper which is Bo Bunny Et Cetera. I distressed the edges too. I've used a Tim Holtz clock embossing folder on some sanded and inked Core'dinations. The tag is from Crafty Individuals, metal butterfly from Wild Orchid and metal scrolls are Jolee's Boutique. I've also added a couple of pins from The Hobby House and some ruffled seam binding.

Every week Lisa (Wishcraft) playsWaste not Wednesday by using an old forgetten stamp, old papers etc and I keep meaning to play so today I will be linking my card as this stamp hasn't been inked for a very long time. Why not hop over and play along.

I also want to mention that today sees the release of 3 fabulous new cutting dies at Crafty Sentiments.

Lastly waving hello to my lovely new followers. Feeling very nervous about my hospital visit this afternoon.
