Christmas delivery

This has to be one of my favourite Christmas cards I have made so far this year. I love these cute LOTV reindeer and I have used my fave papers, Bo Bunny Altitude. I used DI Vintage Phot on the edges and got out my much neglected chunky embossing enamel. I love the effect it gives when heated and you may well be seeing a bit more of it. The lace is from Crafty Ribbons, sentiment from LOTV. I used an old MS large snowflake punch and added some white Wink of Stella to the kraft card along with a heart button and string.

All dressed up

Sometimes I feel an image really needs a clean and simple style to the card.  This All Dressed Up image is from the triple rubber stamp called All Dressed Up! She has been coloured with Copics and I simply added some paper, lace from Crafty Ribbons, Sentiment from LOTV teenage girls and some black enamel dots.

It has certainly turned a lot cooler this weekend. At least we have been saving on the heating bill recently. Today we are going into Norwich for a while and may even do a bit more Christmas shopping.  Enjoy your Sunday.

What a star

I am hosting this fortnight's challenge at A Gem of a Challenge and I have chosen ribbon and pearls as the theme. I have used one of the new Pink Gem images, Barclay with star and coloured him with Copics. The papers are Bo Bunny Altitude, love the colours of these. I used a MFT pierced banner die and added some tiny wooden stars coloured with a violet Wink of Stella pen.

Challenges
As you like it People or animals (I thought it was people as I love colouring the hair and clothes but I have concluded that as I make far more animal cards than people my favourite must be animals. I particularly love colouring the fur on bears.)

Is this comfy?

I often look on Ebay for Penny Black stamps and bought this and another golf stamp which will be very useful especially for male cards. The papers are First Edition Blank Canvas. I used a Lawn Fawn stitched circle and MFT wonky stitched rectangle dies.

We have been to yet another concert, this time in Ipswich. We went with friends and went for a Chinese meal in the restaurant next door to the theatre where we saw a 60's show, stayed overnight in a Premier Inn and will coming home this morning after breakfast.

In the forest

I bought some of the new Card-io Christmas stamps a while ago and they have been sitting on my desk waiting to be used. I often make a few cards at a time and I am sharing two with you in my post today. I really love using these stamps and the cards sell well. I kept the circle delicate for this one adding some red liquid pearls and a a little shading with a grey Copic marker.

This one is much bolder with holly and mistletoe and the sunset sky.  I used a new MDT drifts and hills stencil which gives more variety of hills rather than my homemade piece of card with postits on the back.

More gifts

I am always looking for new gift ideas for my stall and thought I would make some of these. I was lucky to find somebody selling 24 wooden blocks in various sizes on Ebay and I won the bid. I painted these ones with Zig Woodcraft pens. The red and purple covered in one coat but the blue and green took a few coats. I was pleased with how well the stamps worked on them.

Here are the Christmas ones. Let it snow was made with white card and a Lawn Fawn die, I used Spray and Sparkle on them all and they look really effective.

I would like to enter these into the U for unlimited, V for vibrant challenge at ABC Christmas.

I made these non Christmas ones and have several more which hubby has painted with Rustoleum chalk paints in cream, pink and lilac for me. They will be for sale on my next outing to the hospital shop on November 3rd.

The papers are MFT and the lace is from Crafty Ribbons. Another LOTV Christmas grunge sentiment on here.  I used Go Kreate frilly squares 7 as a change from my favourite 10 and the snowflakes is a Marianne die.

Meet May

Tomorrow sees the release of twelve new stamps from LOTV. They are Thoroughly Modern Misses and there is one for each month. My favourite is May and here she is. These images really suit clean and simple designs so I coloured her with Copics and used a MFT zigzag die and a Joy bunting die with a paper scrap. The sentiment is also from a new release.

I would like to enter her into the anything goes challenge at The Ribbon Girl.

Well after being away the last two Sundays at concerts it is a day at home today. Depending on the weather we hope to get the front garden tidied and the last of the bulbs planted. I also need to do some housework and of course fit in some crafting later. Looking forward to tonight's episode of The Last Post on BBC1.

Colour drops

I bought the MFT colour drop stamps and dies a while ago and had fun trying different techniques with them. For this one I just used the dies with various co-ordinating paper scraps.  I added a diecut sentiment and job done.  We have some free days now so hope the weather is good and we can get on with the garden as we still have bulbs to plant and lots of plants to cut back.

Peace and Love

I have a few cards which haven't made it to my blog before so I am using a few of those as I haven't made much new to put on here. This is one I made for Making Cards about this time last year when the nativity trio were released by LOTV. I distressed the images using antique linen DI, I love the patterned burlap available from The Range, the ribbons are from Crafty Ribbons and the hearts from Hobbycraft.

Another day in the city today, this time for a dentist appointment, just a check up I hope, and meeting my Mum who wants to buy a new jacket. Oh dear another lunch out still saves cooking 😃.

Vintage teacups

I made this card for an order. I was told the recipient loved flowers and afternoon tea so this is what I cam up with using a precoloured digi from The Paper Shelter. The lace I found in my stash, the butterfly is Prima, flowers from Wild Orchid. I diecut the numbers using Tim Holtz die and the sentiment is a Die-versions corner die.  I also used some cheesecloth and distressed all the edges for a shabby chic look.

We are going into the city today as I have a haircut booked and hubby has an osteopath appointment as he has had some back pains for a few weeks. Lunch and some retail therapy will be included too.

Tons of fun

We have been away for the night for the second Sunday in a row. This time we were at Potters holiday park which is a lot of fun. Lovely food, great entertainment and so many activities to do, fun quizzes etc. We went because of the 60's show Sunday evening which featured tribute bands including The Upbeat Beatles who you may remember we saw a few weeks ago. We went with friends which made it even more enjoyable. We will be off for a walk on the beach this morning and probably a few more activities as although you have to check out by 10am you can stay all day to enjoy yourselves.

So onto my card which is a simple sketch using  the MFT adorable elephant stamp sets. I used some old papers, MFT jumbo stitched banner and chevron dies along with a few enamel dots.

We had a great day at the hospital on Friday, selling lots of cards and gifts.   People are really starting to think about Christmas and the Christmas decorations sold well. I have three weeks until the next one, Christmas cards sold well and I still need more for us to send so expect to see a lot of Christmas cards on my blog. However today I have a new home card for you.

This is another of the cards I made for Making Cards magazine using the LOTV moving house trio digis. Coloured with Copics, papers are Echo Park and I used Lawn Fawn stitched circle, MFT rolling hills and All Occasions small birds dies. The sentiment is LOTV.

I would like to enter this into the Fall/Autumn challenge at Noor! Design UK.

The weather here is lovely for October, perfect Autumn days. Hope it is good where you are too.

Fairy Doors

I have been meaning to try some fairy doors for a while and finally got round to getting some. As usual with my gifts hubby painted them and I decorated them. I thought I would try 5 to begin with. I am at the hospital today selling cards and gifts so hopefully these will be popular.

I wanted to make each one different and some of my wooden embellishments came in handy. One of them was large so I cut off the fence to use on another door and cut the watering can from the bird house.

Magical things still seem as popular as ever with young girls so I hope they will like these.

Abracadabra!

Our Facebook challenge at Lili of the Valley this month is to use one of the first LOTV stamps ever bought. My first stamp was the original Oliver texting which hasn't been available for years and of course there is a new Oliver texting now. So this is the second boy stamp I bought when the stamp ranges changed and he is probably still my fave boy stamp. Abracadabra is not available at the moment as a rubber stamp but you can buy the digi. Her has been coloured with Copics and the papers are MME Lime Twist. I added some ribbon and Hobbycraft punched stars. The zigzag square die is from MFT.

Spiders!

Our new challenge at Paper Creator is a spooky one this month. I don't send Halloween cards and I find they don't often sell either so this is probably the only one I shall make. I have used the precoloured Sassy Sally the good witch image. I managed to find some orange paper and the web and spider diecuts which I bought a few years ago from somebody on Facebook. The black pearl hearts were a gift a few years ago from my blogging friend Debby.
