I have two cards featured in the latest Papercrafter magazine both using pleats. It is the first time I have tried making pleated cards and had fun playing around with a few ideas. This is the first one I am sharing with you. I used a Crafter's Companion embossing folder and a Joy butterfly die. I made the dress from a doily. The piece I trimmed off was perfect for making the bodice. I added a tiny piece of lace and some sentiment ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, twine and pearls.

Such a pretty card Marianne! Love the purple and white combination. Your little dress is a really clever way of using a doily. Debra x

This is a really elegant design and the doily dress is a fab idea...and so pretty too. The delicacy of the embossing and die cut butterflies add lovely detail without detracting from the dress as the focal point.
It's just gorgeous Marianne!
Big hugs, Kat xx
