Today is my Mum's Birthday and this is the card I made for her. When we were young my Mum made a lot of our clothes and I know this image will amuse her.

Dies - Sizzix scissors, reel and needle, MB dress form, Die-Versions sewing machine
I distressed all the edges with DI Vintage Photo and TH distress tool and added some faux cross stitching to the image and thread round the cotton reel and through the needle.

Brilliant card. Love it!! Great image and colour choice. I used to make most of my kids clothes too. Even my son's shirts when he was 3 years old. I had to make clothes for my daughter, using Dolls clothes patterns, as she was so small! Hugs, Carol S.xx

What an absolutely endearing card! I, too, remember my mom making us lots of sewn clothes, so I appreciated the thoughtfulness of this card and the happy memories it evoked in my own life. I really liked all of the clever patterns and shapes you combined. The floral paper is perfect and the rough edges make it look like fabric. I also love the dimension you added with the embroidery thread. Very lovely card and I'm so glad you shared it with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
