If I could turn back time

It's my hubby's Birthday today and this is a surprise scrapbook layout I have done for him to show off his Birthday pressy. We actually got it in December as he was looking for a while after I said I would buy him one. He saw this one advertised on Gumtree from a lady who had it new when she was 16 and has had it stored away for years. He had it serviced and it works perfectly. Memories of our youth when we had record players like this. He has a modern record deck linked to the amplifier but wanted a mutlichange original one too. Unfortunately as the journalling says we got rid of most of our records over the years never thinking we would go back to playing them so now we constantly buy from shops and eBay to build up a collection again.

Several of the embellies came free with my scrapbook mag, the music is a MB die. I used various plates for the mock record so I could emboss some grooves in and I sanded the Core'dinations. The letters and  small words are Tim Holtz, ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

Fabulous page, I well remember my blue/grey Dansette, autochange "portable" record player, which weighed a ton, back in the 1950s :o)

This is fabulous Marianne. We still have our records from 70's onwards and I also have all Mum's Beatles and Elvis 45's too, among others. You have inspired me to get the old hi-fi going!! xx

Happy Birthday to you hubby, I hope you are both having a fabulous day.
Your scrapbook layout is wonderful. I love your design and fantastic detailing. It does seem that records are making a come back, what I remember most is the smell of them! We still have a few but nothing to play them on!

Fantastic page Marianne. Takes me back to my youth!! Music has always and still is, my passion. Love Emili Sandi at the moment. I also sold all my vinyl, which went back to the early 60's. So thanks for the memories. Have a wonderful day and a very Happy Birthday to your husband. Hugs, Carol S.xx

This is a brilliant layout Marianne. My hubby has recently started to play all of his old vinyl records - fortunately we kept all of ours (hubby never throws anything away).
Happy Birthday to your husband.
