Vase of flowers

The last card I made with one of these beautiful images from the LOTV sketch pad sold last week so I wanted to make at least one more before this Saturday's fair. They are so beautiful, though I did find the tiny flowers and stems a bit challenging to colour and found them easier to colour with my glasses off as I am short sighted. Coloured with my Copics, papers are First Edition Dreamcatcher. I've used a Spellbinders floral oval and Cheerly Lynn butterflies with Centura Pearl and pearls so lots of shine and glitter.

Sweet baby hedgie

I bought this sweet Penny Black stamp from one of the Facebook groups recently. I just fell in love with the image and couldn't wait to colour it with my Copics. My collection is growing, just another 44 and I will then have the complete set of Ciaos, despite my saying I wouldn't need them all. Of course there are then all the Sketch markers but I think I will just get a few of those where I need to fill in colour ranges.

Picking roses and my exciting news

If you follow m on Facebook you may have seen my post a little while ago saying that I had a exciting e-mail. I can now reveal that I have been asked to join the lovely girls at Lili’s Little Fairies so I am officially a fairy, woohoo. I didn't hesitate to say yes as I love Lili of the Valley images and use them a lot o here is my first DT card. If you love CAS cards you may want to look away now as this card has so much going on it. It's a commissioned card and as it is an 8x8 card I had a lot of scope for embellishing.

I'm back with my second post today and  another sample card for Stamposaurus today. I decided to stamp the flower onto kraft and team it with black and white. I tried this colour combo a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. I lifted it with some touches of pink.

I have so many new dies to play with from Ally Pally I hardly know which to use first. I bought another magnetic storage folder and some more magnetic sheets. Pink and green

It's midway reminder time at Crafty Ribbons where our challenge is pink and green. I made this card for my friend Lynsey's little girl Grace for her 5th Birthday so I know she has opened it. I was delighted to hear that Grace loved the card and said it was a real card as she loves handmade cards.

I was really pleased with the way the colouring cam out on this one. I created the folds on her clothes after watching one of Alyce's great tutorials.

Spring flowers and Ally Pally pics

Well I had a brilliant weekend. Had such a great time at Ally Pally and bought lots of lovely new stash, (see below for photos). It was so good to meet up with blogging friends too. Sunday we went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour which was also brilliant. I thoroughly recommend it, so interesting. Really want to see all the films again now. Good job I have them all.

I bought one of the gorgeous new sketch pads from LOTV last week, such great value, 30 images to colour for £6. I bought the vintage boys one at the show too. I love Spring flowers and when I have some daffodils I usually put them in a blue jug so that's what I went with for this card. I was inspired by the colours of daffodils, hyacinths, polyanthus and tulips.

More sewing

Another scheduled post from me after my exciting weekend away. I hope I had a good time and bought lots of crafty goodies. I will let you know and also share a pic or two.

My card today is for a mid challenge reminder at A Little Bit Crafty where our first challenge is Anything Goes. We have 3 great sponsors so well worth playing along. I decided to make a vintage sewing card as I love making these and they are very popular at craft fairs. I always regretted not buying the Papermania Persimmon pad so when I saw somebody had one for sale at a recent craft fair I bought it and that is my backing paper on this card. The image is a freebie from Free Vintage Digital stamps. The dress form and cotton reel were die cut with my friend Lynsey's Tim Holtz die. The tape measure ribbon is one of my favourites from Crafty Ribbons. To get this effect I used double sided tape along the back and then stuck it at intervals to itself. The sentiment is LOTV and I added some baker's twine. lots of DI Vintage Photo and some tiny buttons.

White Wedding

I have scheduled today's post as I have another exciting day ahead. We have tickets for the Harry Potter tour at Warner Brothers Studios. Everyone who has been says it is brilliant so I am really looking forward to it. I love making all white Wedding cards. I have used a textured card and a Cuttelbug heart embossing folder with Centura pearl. As it is an ordered card I created the sentiment on the PC. The roses which just have a hint of lilac are from Wild Orchid and the fabulous rose ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. I have used a die cut from Lili of the Valley and added a pearl heart to finish.

Gorjuss Bag

Today's post is scheduled as I am off to the BSSB show at Ally Pally. Very excited about meeting up with some lovely blogging buddies and having a good browse around the stalls and buying some lovely new stash. I have a rather long wish list. I need some stock items like DST of course and die storage, particularly as I plan on buying some new dies.

So a simple bag to share with you today. The decoupage, paper and tiny buttons are all from the new Docrafts Gorjuss girl range. I added Prima flowers and a brad. See, simples.

Check out my post tomorrow to see where I will be. I will be sharing pics from Ally Pally and catching up with you all next week.

Three little bears

I haven't made many shaped cards for ages and then two in as many days. It must be well over a years since I made a tri shutter card. They are quite time consuming. Graham in London

When I last made a layout of my hubby when he was a little boy I thought it was the only photo we had so I was delighted when searching through the old photo to find these three. Not the best quality but you can't go back and take them again can you. It's also not that easy to get a great photo of a layout but it looks really good IRL.

I've used the Docrafts sketch again which I used for my steampunk card. I love large circles for layouts. The papers are DCVW Nantucket and Papermania Gorjuss. I've used a Marianne corner die and a MB button die, both with sanded Core'dinations. I've also added some washi tape, spotted buttons and a large brad. lettering is Papermania with the capitl letters from some old Poundland alphabets.

Playing with Photos

My hubby has often suggested I should try making some cards using reduced size photos, especially for men's cards. I try to make card that appeal to as wide a rage of people as possible at craft fairs so decided to give it a go. I have seen several people sell cards made with prints of their photos but have never seen people use photos in this way. I have to say I am really pleased with the results and will be making some more of these. It will be interesting to see if they sell well.

I have used some Christmas papers for this one, MS zigzag punch, MB landscape die and card candi. The photo was taken at a Classic Car Show.

This photo was taken in New England. Papers from my use up pile, MFT dies, baker's twine, brads, PC created sentiment and LOTV grunge postcard.

The last card uses a photo from the local hydroplane and speedboat races. Papers are Docrafts Portobello Road. I added a Craftwork Cards sentiment and some faux leather.
