Thanks

Welcome to my 2 new followers, great to see you here. Another Pollycraft image for this thank you card I need to send to some friends. I do love bears and this one is so cute. Main paper is Rose Garden, rest are scraps from various packs. I added some gems to the centres of the flowers in the circle which was cut with a Nellie die. I came home yesterday to flowers and ribbons from 2 challenge wins, which was lovely.

Wishes for Bella blog hop weeks 2

As I told you last Tuesday Erin has organised 4 blog hops for Bella. 8 year old Bella developed a serious illness at Easter. Although the survival rate was very low, she was a brave fighter and made it through a 5 day coma. Tragically, she lost her arms and legs to the disease. You can read the story in depth here.

Erin is asking that you make a card and send it to Bella to let her know that people are thinking of her. I will be part of the last blog hop on 13 July and I hope you will all join in as I will be offering a little candy. There are some fabulous prizes every week, details of which are at the end of the hop on Erin's blog. We are such a great community so please show Bella you care by sending a card today. The blog hop this week starts at Denise.

This is my second card for Bella, which features this gorgeous SN girl with her lamb. I cut her out and layered her onto Nestie cut embossed card. The papers are Wild Rose which were a gift from my blogging buddy Lisa. Marlene's sketch at The Sugar Bowl was quite a challenging one but I am really pleased with the result. The border was made with an MS trellis punch. I inked all the edges and the Prima flowers.
Other challenges:
Allsorts Embossing
The Crafty Pad Embossing
Crafty Cardmakers Inky Fingers
A Spoon Full of sugar Animal crackers
Practical Scrappers Border punch

Me and my horse

Firstly welcome to my lovely new followers. It is such a lovely surprise to go onto my blog and find some new followers. I was chosen as one of the top 3 at Die Cut Dreams this week, thanks Susie.

This card reminds my of my friend Bridget as she loves her horse, Gypsy. The image is from LOTV and is the first time i have used it. It was such a lovely stamp to colour and I hadn't noticed the little mouse until I started colouring it. I added glitter around the image and some lovely glittery gold ribbon and bow for a bit of bling.

Stars and stripes

Now I don't like to complain but it has been 29 degrees here today, which is too hot for me. I love the sunshine but once it gets over about 24 degrees I find it too hot. We had a lovely day out at a local village viewing the open gardens and scarecrows and then headed up to the coast where we had a meal sitting outside on the pier in the breeze. Had to have another shower when we got home as we were so hot and have just watched last night's Dr Who finale. Wow, that was fantastic wasn't it.

On to my card. I was asked to be the GDT member this week at One Stitch at a time where the challenge is stars and stripes. This usually makes me think of a male card in red and blue but I decided to try something different. I bought this Pollycraft didgi image recently and thought she went perfectly with the theme. Papers are Hamstead from Papermania and MME Wild Asparagus. The Hampstead papers are so sparkly I love them. The blue ribbon is recycled from the inside loops on a cardigan. I used my MS star punch on the edges and added some gem stars and some sparkly foam stars from America. Sentiment is Craftwork cards layered with a nestie.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Stamptacular Stars and stripes
I love Promarkers Fab sketch

Three more for Friday

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for my Winter Wonderland DT card.

This is my last GDT card at Crafts 4 Eternity. There is a gorgeous sketch to follow as always and the theme this week is nursery rhymes and add a charm. I used one of the LOTV bears for "pat a cake, pat a cake". Papers are Papermania Heather capsule collection.Flowers are Wild Orchid and I added some pins and a bear charm.
I am also entering this card into these challenges:
A spoon full of sugar Good luck or best wishes
Creative Craft Stamp it up
ABC X for xtra dimension.

When I saw the challenge at Penny Black was travel or holidays I was stumped for a while as I couldn't think of a suitable image. Then I remembered this girl with her suitcase. I'm a little late as the new challenge starts tomorrow so hope I am not too late with this one as I really like the way it turned out. Papers are Henbury Lane and Rose Garden by Papermania. I added some pearls, Primas, paper roses and sticky ribbon. I used the fab sketch from Papertake. Passion for Promarkers want to see your favourite things on a card. This one features 2 of mine, holidays and reading.

My last card is another of the LOTV bears. I added glossy accents to her sunglasses and some faux stitching around the image. I used my MS PATP for the pink paper. The glitter stripe was made with a strip of double sided tape. Sentiment is K&Co and flowers are Prima with brads.

Strawberry bear

Here is my DT card for this week's challenge over at Winter Wonderland. It is Kate's first challenge and this week she is looking for strawberries and cream. I used this cute digi bear from Stitchy. I ended up with slightly lilac pink but it is pretty isn't it. The papers are some old Papermania I think. I added lots of glitter to the wings and the foam snowflakes and used glitter card for the Sizzix cut corners. Go check out the other lovely DT cards which are more strawberry colour than mine turned out.

I am also entering my card into the following challenges.

Two angels and a bear

This is my second post for today. Please, please, please read my previous post and send a card to Bella.

Susie certainly set a challenge this week at Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club of all white Christmas. You are allowed to add just a touch of colour so added a little blue to their clothing and inked the edges of the images. I added lots of white gliiter to their wings and used Cuttlebug snowflake and star embossing folders, white ribbon and pearls and a white sentiment. I must say this really was a challenge but I am really pleased with the result. One Stitch at a time's challenge this week is seeing double so I used 2 of the same image. I don't know the make I'm afraid as I received the stamped images.

The colour challenge of blue and yellow to go with their sketch at Stampin' for the weekend was another challenging one as yellow is a colour I rarely use on cards. Papers are K&Co Daisy and Kate Knight. I didn't have any yellow flowers so I coloured white flowers with tulip yellow Promarker. The image is from Pollycraft.
I am also entering this into the following challenges
I love Promarkers Bears
Teddy Stampers Summer bears
Passion for Promarkers Favourite things (bears and flowers)

Chit Chat

It was supposed to be mainly nice today with the possibility of an odd shower. Well we have had a bit of sun and wind but those occasional showers have been every half an hour or so and very heavy. So I couldn't do the planned gardening and decided to make a card instead and spend a little while blogging before I get ready to go out to dinner and the theatre.

I just love Squiggle stamps and this month their challenges is Birthday Best and the prize is a place on the DT. Chit chat is one of their newest images which I bought recently as I thought it is such a fun image. They are coloured with PMs with added glitter. The papers are Henbury Lane and I punched some flowers out of the same papers and added some punched leaves and gems. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and matches the image so well. I rotated the sketch from sweet Sketch Wednesday, Crazy 4 Challenges want paper flowers and Bee Crafty want something pink and girly.

Friday DT and GDT cards

It's Friday once again and her is my GDT card for Crafts 4 Eternity where the challenge this week, along with the great sketch, is a sport theme and use an arrow. Now my first thought was an archer but I didn't have one of those. I'm thinking Kevin Costner as Robin Hood, now, yummy. I did find this golfer lurking in my stash of images, no idea what make he is as he was a gift. Papers are K&Co Hopscotch and I made one of the strips an arrow, clever, huh! The embellie is part of a golfing set I bought in America and the colour goes perfectly with these papers. The corner stickers are from an old pack from Lakeland. There are so many challenges wanting male cards so hope to see you joining in this week.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges who all want male cards this week, Totally Gorjuss, Stamptacular, Crafty Cardmakers, Cupcake, Incy Wincy, Pear Tree Designs, Creative Inspirations, Polka Doodles. Our Creative Corner's challenges is Gotcha cornered.

This week at Winter Wonderland our challenge is a festive tree. I found this image in my Christmas stash box which was another RAK. I think this one came from Christine in Canada as the teddy had a stars and stripes flag. I added white glitter flocking to Santa's beard and fur and the tag went over the flag. The papers are some old ones as are the little tree stickers. I added a Christmas tree brad to the flower so that's 5 festive trees. The number of entries is growing every week now so more and more of you are seeing the benefit of getting ahead with those Christmas cards. This week's fab prize is 3 digis from Delicious Doodles so get creating.
I am also entering this card into the following challenges
The Corrosive Challenge sketch
Paper Play Something old (that's most of this card!)
One Stitch at a Time Celebrations
Bah Humbug Child's Christmas

It has been another gloomy and cool day here and tomorrow we are promised a Northerly wind and an even cooler day. I'm off to see Snow White on Ice at the theatre tomorrow night. Seems most appropriate given the weather. Enjoy your weekend.

Two girly cards

I haven't been able to spend much time on the computer the last 2 evenings as I have been working on spreadsheets so much at work I think I have strained my eyes a bit so apologies I haven't visted as much as usual.

I felt like making a couple of girly cards this afternoon so here they are. The first one is one of the lovely Pollycraft fairy images. I added some glitter and a few flower and butterfly stickers. Papers are mainly Henbury Lane. The top paper is glittery and I added some lace and a bow with pearls. Flowers are from Wild Orchid. I used the first ever MS punch I bought last year, the doily lace border punch, still one of my faves.
Challenges

In my stash I found some Forever Friends stickers which I have never got round to using. They are so sweet that I thought I would use one for a change from stamping. I glittered round the edge and used the gorgeous sketch from Friday Sketchers which I rotated. At Just cute bears the challenge is here comes Summer. I don't know what the weather has been like where you are but I would love to see Summer. We have had some sunshine but a cool wind means I am still wearing a jacket every day.

First outing for these Penny Black mice. Aren't they sweet. They are coloured with Promarkers of course and I chalked and doodled around the image. The main paper is Rose Garden with other assorted scraps and ribbon. I decided not to add flowers for a change but to show off the beautiful punched borders so I just added some brown pearls.

A layout and a Gorjuss girl

I don't always have much time for crafting and blogging at the weekend but as hubby went for a haircut Saturday afternoon I had time for another scrapbook page. I am so glad I have got back into this as I am really enjoying it. There used to be a lovely parade at EPCOT in Florida which was called Tapestry of Dreams. Children had to write their dreams and the dreamcatcher pictured here would take them.

There were some wonderful characters in this parade and the most haunting music. Sadly they don't have a parade at that park anymore. The main paper is K & Co Hopscotch with SU and Henbury Lane papers added, Sizzix cut swirls and some doodled squares with buttons from stash. I used the June sketch from Practical Scrappers. Buttons is the challenge at Allsorts.

Time for a Gorjus girl I thought. They were everywhere when they first came out and now you don't see them so much. I glittered the spots and trim on her dress. Papers are Papermania with Prima flowers and punched fern leaves.

Summer and Winter

Well it is still more like Autumn today. Chilly and gloomy with some rain first thing. It does seem a bit warmer now but nothing like Summer. This is my GDT card for Crafts 4 Eternity where there is a lovely sketch with lots of layers, my fave, and the need to feature strawberries and lace. I have used the gorgeous WOJ image of Willow. The main paper is K&Co. I used my MS trellis punch and flower doily punches, punched ferns and Wild Orchid flowers along with some pink lace, sentiment from Craftwork cards layered on a nestie die cut and a photo corner from stash. you can win 2 digi stamps and the sketch is such a great one to use so I hope you will all join in this week.

The second card is my DT card for Winter Wonderland. This week Danielle has chosen the lovely challenge of a traditional Christmas flower. There are some great stamps on offer for the lucky winner too from the Stamp Barn. I chose one of my favourite Anyas for this one and added lots of glitter. The two papers are Dovecraft Traditional Christmas, full of poinsettias and holly. (The strips are from the sheet of paper.) I made the poinsettias with a nestie, X cut punch and gems and added gold holly leaves. It seems that more and more of you are getting those Christmas cards made which is great to see.

Ruby Wedding

Wow, thanks for all your lovely comments on my cards posted yesterday. I was stunned that so many of you visited me. I really do appreciate them all. Going back to work was tough and I am glad I only work 5.5 hours per dayand work flextime. I was in at 8.15 and at 1.30 I left as I was whacked. I spent a lovely afternoon making a couple of cards with images which I coloured last night. One card is a DT one so I can't share that with you until Friday.

This card is for some friends who are celebrating their Ruby Wedding on Sunday. I enjoyed making the last tri -shutter card so much I wanted to try another. I had made a note of all the measurements I worked out, including the paper sizes so it was much quicker to make this time and what a great way to use up all those scraps of paper we can't bear to throw away. The image is FF of course. I added a punched MS heart, some pearl hearts, a bow and some padded hearts that have been in my stash for about 3 years and which match the spotted paper. The numbers are from an old alphabet set from Poundland.

Henbury Lane and candy winners

This is a long post so hope you will stay with it to the end. I am finally starting to feel better, though not 100%, so will be going back to work tomorrow. We had a lovely day in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk on Saturday for our anniversary and I even managed to pop in a couple of craft shops.

Each time Papermania bring out a new pack I think they can't get any better and then they do. I love this new Henbury Lane so much that I had to buy the A4 pack as well as the A5 and it is the main paper on all of these cards. I used glitter on all of them too. When Graham came home he said I look like a member of Abba as I seem to have glitter on my face, lol!

Isn't this a fabulous image. I so love the LOTV stamps. I used 2 different size leaf punches with the wild orchid and Prima flowers with spacers, brads and a flower charm. I also used my MS doily punch which is then almost covered up with the image and flowers, oh well.

Crafts 4 Eternity GDT card

THIRD POST FOR TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR EARLIER POSTS AND UP FOR CANDY.

I was lucky enough to be chosen as a GDT member at Crafts 4 Eternity for the month of June and here is my first card. There is a gorgeous sketch to follow with the addition of a flourish and flowers.

The image is Buzzcraft, main papers are Kate Knight, flowers are Wild Orchid. I used my new MS PATP punches for this one again and my Sizzix swirl.

I hope you like my new blog header. I have been wanting to have a go at making myself a header rather than using one from one of the blog background sites. I finally got round to it tonight. It took me ages to make it but now that I have done I can play around with it to alter it in the future.

Wings

SECOND POST FOR TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR WINTER WONDERLAND CARD AND UP FOR CANDY.

I was inspired by the bugs and beasties challenge at The Crafty Calendar where the option is wings. The cutie is from Pink Gem and her coat looks rather red but it is pink I can assure you. The papers are some old FF I found the other day in my stash and had forgotten about them. Flowers are Prima with added pearls. Not sure if the embellies are meant to be butterflies or dragonflies but they were also found in my old stash as were the sticky corners from Lakeland. Lots of glitter on her wings, wand, stars and crown. I am also entering this into the challenge of for the little ones at Incy Wincy and I used the fab sketch which I rotated from Crafty Angels.

Feel the love

Firstly welcome to my lovely new followers. Wow, I can't believe there are so many of you and not all of you have entered the candy either so you must have joined just because you like my work, thanks so much.

It's my challenge over at Winter Wonderland this week and as I am feeling the love with my anniversary coming up tomorrow and my blogaversary on Sunday my challenge is Love at Christmas. The DT have come up with some fabulous cards to interpret this theme so we want to see hugs, cuddles, kisses, mistletoe etc. Don't forget any papercrafting project can be entered so maybe you have a loving photo to scrap from last Christmas.

For my DT card I chose to use this sweet WOJ image of Herb and her baby and use some snowman vellum for a change. Snowflakes are punched with Fiskars and MS punches. Sentiment is Alissa's Paper Town. I know the sun is shining but making a Christmas project could cool you down and stop that mad rush in November and December.

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:
Tuesday morning sketches sketch
Susie and Vikki's Christmas Club Babies 1st Christmas
Practical Scrappers Acetate, transparencies or vellum
Craftalicious New (this is their first challenge

Thanks for all your lovely comments. Have a great weekend and hope the sun keeps shining on us all.

Two pretty girls

What a beautiful day today, I think Summer finally arrived yesterday. My antibiotics seem to be kicking in and I am feeling a little better, thank goodness, though not quite as good today as I did yesterday. I hope you like my new look blog. I do like to keep changing the background and wanted to celebrate my anniversary on Saturday with some hearts. I can't believe the number of entries for my candy. If you haven't joined in the fun yet you only have another 3 days to enter.

This is the second of my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, called Gabrielle. Just for a change I paper pieced her dress and then paper pieced the card suits on the bottom too. Papers are Henbury Lane and Rose Garden, Anita's ribbon, Sizzix swirl, pearls from the Hobby House and Wild Orchid flowers. I added glitter to the swirls too for added sparkle.
Challenges:

Totally Papercrafts Monochromatic
One Stop Craft Swirls and pearls

There are a lot of fun in the sun and beach challenges this week so I chose these colours to represent sea and sand. Anya looks like she has spent too much time in the sun here. At least she protected her face with those great sunglasses. You might need yours on for this card. I covered her glasses in glossy accents, left them to dry and then when I looked for the image found I had laid another one on top. I don't recommend it! Luckily I managed to unpick the card from her glasses and add more glossy accents. They now look perfect again. Main papers are K&Co Hopscotch and Papermania Hampstead. Flowers are Prima.

Goldielocks

Well I went to the doctor's this morning and am signed off work for another week. She thinks I may have an inner ear infection which is causing the labrynthitis so I now have some antibiotics. Fingers crossed these week otherwise it is back to the doctor next week for more tests.

This gorgeous girl is my prize from Sugar Nellie for advertising their new stamps. How lucky was I to get this. I felt a need for using the purple PMs again so I used the lovely sketch at I love Promarkers and the colour challenge of black, white plus one at Allsorts. Stamp Something want DPs, ribbon, bow and a tag and Dutch Dare Challenge want 2 DPs, 3 colours and 4 buttons. Finally at Die Cut Dreams they want a celebration card with a number.
