Back as promised with several photos of my lovely new stash I bought yesterday. The only disappointment was the lack of new paper pads as I particularly wanted some new Christmas papers but I still managed to buy lots of lovely stuff. I will share my thought son the show at the end of this post.
So my first pic is papers and embellishments.
Stocked up on some essentials.
Sp pleased to buy some of the new Christmas stamps from LOTV, a couple more of those darling little Gorjuss Girls and oh look, more snowmen, couldn't resist those.
Hobby House have some gorgeous toppers and I bought an art deco pack from Debbi Moore as these images are very popular with my customers when I had some from Docrafts. The cute little toppers are for quick Christmas tags.
A lovely border punch and a few new dies. I didn't buy many for myself as I bought several at Ally Pally in April.
So my thoughts on the show and other shows. Last year I found the NEC a bit disappointing, several stands missing and very expensive to go to. £11 to park the car is ridiculous. November isn't a nice time of the year for hubby to drive all the way home in the dark either. I really like Ally Pally but in April I thought there were less stands than usual and very few samples on the stands. It's a lovely show to visit and parking and the cloakroom are free which is very useful for leaving your bags.
Last year was my first time at Doncaster and this year was even better I thought. It was lovely to see some of the smaller companies there and there were lots of gorgeous samples to look at. Some good bargains to be had. I loved the rummage boxes at Samuel Taylors and was very pleased with my bargain of the day the Go Kreate die set reduced from £18.99 to £5.69! Cheap to go in and lots of free parking. I would definitely go there again next year.
Whichever show we go to we stay the night before and Donaster is ideal for us as we had two nights near York, spending the days at the coast, and then drove down from there yesterday morning. I have noticed that Crafting Live are in Peterborough in November so that is one for the calendar as that is much much nearer to us than Birmingham.
Create and Craft were filming live and I was captured on TV with Lynsey and my hubby as we went in. Some of my blogging friends recognised me as they commented on Facebook, fame at last! One lady took a screenshot for me. Looks like hubby comes with free P&P, but he isn't for sale!
