Flower Girl

Time for a new challenge at Sugar Nellie, anything goes providing it is a Sugar Nellie image or one of the other stamps sold by Funky Kits such as the Gorjuss Girls. This is another of my new stamps which I coloured up to make a card for a friend who loves purple and Gorjuss Girls, what good taste she has! I love these girls but they are not that easy to colour for some reason and I am not entirely happy with my colouring on this one, could do better.

Well worth it, amazing show and a lovely break. Sorry I didn't get hardly any blogging done whilst we were away, will catch up later.

At the beach

Time for a new challenge at Crafty Ribbons and this time our theme is Summer, with ribbon of course. I chose to make a plaque with a beach theme. The plaque was painted blue and I then added some PVA glue and cream paint and crackle accents. I have several pieces of this net stuff in my stash, not sure what the proper name is for it. I used some dies, shell, pearls and Kaisercraft shells and sentiment from packs I bought in America. The beach hut ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons of course.

Perfume

I bought this set of Sizzix stamps and dies a few months ago and finally used it for a good friend's Birthday card. I wanted to create a vintage look with lots of layers and embellishments. I played around until I was happy with the layout. I don't think people always realise how much goes into designing a card. It isn't just what you use but how you use it.

Keyrings

I said I would be back later with something different. These didn't photograph very well unfortunately but it gives you an idea of them. I have so many charms I have collected that I decided to make some keyrings/bag charms to sell. These are just a sample as I have various charms. I have a few customers who regularly look at my blog and/or my Facebook albums so I wanted to show these are available.  Please scroll down for my Scrapbook layout.

Space, the final frontier

A scrapbook layout to share with you today of the last time we visited Kennedy Space Centre, somewhere we plan to go back to. As you can see Graham is dwarfed by the Saturn rocket. I used a hexagon die and Prima Craftsman papers, adding some wooden arrows and a fabric sticker I bought in America.

Cakes!

I bought a new stamp set with these cakes and a set of cups and saucers. At first I thought the things on the right were bridge rolls but then I realised they are macaroons!

I only bought the stamp last Friday at Sprinkle Twinkle and look I have made a card already. I am getting better at using more of my new stamps rather than stamping them and them waiting months to be coloured. I have so many images stamped and printed though that I don't think I will ever use them all.

What a mixture of weather we are having. It was lovely all day but after dinner the heavens opened, thunder, lightening and hail bouncing off the grass. The after a little while the sun came out again! I know some of you had rain all day yesterday. Let's hope Summer soon arrives but not too hot, around 20 will do me.

Dr Who themed Wedding

I get some unusual requests for cards and this one was for a Wedding card in blue and white with a Dr Who theme if possible. I thought the groom had a look of Dr Who about him so I used this Wild Rose topper changing the colour of the flowers to blue with a Wink of Lunar pen for a metallic sparkle. I printed the Tardis off the internet and subtly added it with the flowers so it doesn't overpower the card. I added Wild Orchid flowers, seam binding and some lovely lace.

I would like to enter the anything goes challenge at Not just cards.

Romance

I haven't had as much time for crafting as usual with spending several days sorting out Mum and her new home. I have several orders and magazine cards I can't share yet but I can share this one which I made for Making Cards magazine a while ago.

Papers and sentiment - LOTV

More boxes

These are the latest boxes I made for my craft stall. They have been painted with Rustoleum chalk paint. The lace on the top is from Crafty Ribbons, flowers from Wild Orchid and I am Roses. I bought the pretty ribbon from a local shop and the lace on the left one is self adhesive from The Range.

We have been away for a couple of days to Hunstanton, returning home this morning. On Friday we met up with Lynsey for lunch and a trip to Sprinkle Twinkle craft shop before heading off to our B&B. Saturday night we went to see The Simon and Garfunkel Story at the theatre, which was excellent. I never got to see Simon and Garfunkel but we did see Paul Simon several years ago. The weather was lovely and we enjoyed a long walk yesterday, you can walk along the beach for miles there.

I would like to enter the anything goes challenge at Not just cards.

Be back later with a card.

Golf

I'm a big fan of the Pink Gem images and the new adult digis are jut great, I asked Janet if she could draw Dave golfing and this is what she came up with, isn't it brilliant. You can but the digi but this is actually from the printable set which you can decoupage, fill the page or reduce to use as a topper which is what I have done. There is a range of sentiments too. I teamed him with some free papers and a golf charm from my stash.

Candy winner

Apologies for keeping you all waiting to see who are the lucky winners of my candy. Yesterday we were busy at Mum's new home putting up curtains and sorting out stuff for her. Today is our Wedding Anniversary and we have had a lovely sunny day. Thanks for all your good wishes both here and on Facebook. Then we went out for a light lunch, went into the little church where we got married and visited some beautiful gardens nearby. The rhododendrons and azaleas were stunning. Came home for a little while and then went out for a lovely meal at Frankie and Benny's where we enjoy the 60's music. So onto my winner.
