Another favourite stamp

This is probably my favourite ever Lili of the Valley stamp and I haven't used her for a while. I am trying to use some of my older stamps as well as new ones. I have resisted buying any of the new Annabel stamps until Ally Pally show on 12 April. I am really looking forward to that and LOTV will be my first stop.

Spring flowers

Yesterday's craft fair was really good and I met some lovely people and sold very well, including this card. I tried a new gift idea which I can't share with you yet as it was a DT make. I only made two and sold them both so need to make some more of those.

It is ages since I made one of these fold back cards and I really like it so expect to see a few more. Like easel cards though they are not the easiest of cards to photograph. I kept the embellishments to a minimum as it just didn't need any more.

Here's the detail of the lovely image.

Not just Pretty but Gorjuss in Pink

I really didn't need any more stamps at the moment but when I saw the new Gorjuss Girls from Docrafts I couldn't resist this one. Isn't she adorable. There were lots of curly bits around the oval frame but it made her very big for a 6" card so I just used the oval. I decided to get messy with a bit of frantage too which I haven't used for a little while.   I really loved making this card. I make some and think mmmmm it is ok or quite nice but this is one of the ones I am very pleased with.

Christening

I am often asked for Christening cards and find it quite difficult to know what to put on them so when I found a religious set of Inkadinkadoo stamps in America knew the bible image would be perfect. I coloured te image with Copics as always. I bought the MB window a little while ago and thought it a bit plain so when I saw the arch window to use with it on offer at Oyster stamps snapped it up. I added some Wild Orchid flowers, lace, pearls and stamped Stamposarus sentiment edged with DI Scattered Straw.

If I could turn back time

It's my hubby's Birthday today and this is a surprise scrapbook layout I have done for him to show off his Birthday pressy. We actually got it in December as he was looking for a while after I said I would buy him one. He saw this one advertised on Gumtree from a lady who had it new when she was 16 and has had it stored away for years. He had it serviced and it works perfectly. Memories of our youth when we had record players like this. He has a modern record deck linked to the amplifier but wanted a mutlichange original one too. Unfortunately as the journalling says we got rid of most of our records over the years never thinking we would go back to playing them so now we constantly buy from shops and eBay to build up a collection again.

Several of the embellies came free with my scrapbook mag, the music is a MB die. I used various plates for the mock record so I could emboss some grooves in and I sanded the Core'dinations. The letters and  small words are Tim Holtz, ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.
