Now and then

I was lucky enough to win Squirrel's last challenge and was determined to join in her current fun challenge of then and now The idea is to see how your style and colouring skills have improved. I decided to go right back to one of my first stamps and one of my first blog posts in June 2009. I still love this stamp and will never get rid of her. The difference in colouring and layout skills are amazing. It is amazing to see how much my photography skills have improved too!
Image - Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie Daisy
Medium - Copics
Papers - Dovecraft Serendipity
Die - Lawn Fawn stitched circle
Flowers - Prima
Butterflies - part of my Christmas present from Lynsey

Challenges
Squirrel's not so random challenge then and now
Dies R Us anything goes using dies
The Ribbon Girl a card
Noor! Design UK anything goes

And this is my card from June 2009. Stamping and colouring was very new to me and as you can see I knew nothing about blending and shading. The layout is pretty awful too. The only good thing  about it is the colour scheme.

Looking back at how we started and comparing to where we are today can be quite an eye-opener. We don't often appreciate how far we have travelled on our creative journeys.

Fantastic card, Marianne, amazing design so clean but very lovely and this EB cutie is wonderfully coloured!
The difference by your two cards is stunning, how professional are now your skills! This is a big hope for me :D because perhaps I too could improve my skills, one day... :)

It's a really lovely colour palette Marianne and always love that image. Sometimes it's sobering to look back at our older cards, I know I do sometimes and cringe.

Many thanks for sharing your pretty card with us at Penny Black and More challenge.

She is adorable and your colours are beautiful, it's good to see how we've improved over time, but your earlier card is lovely too, Kate x

Gorgeous card Marianne! It is good to look back and see how much we have improved over the years. I did the same thing this year. Incredible. But, I think they both look nice. This one is much more elegant and refined in your work; showing how much you have improved over the years. Great job! I wonder if we will continue to improve or do we reach a peak where we stop improving. Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us. Love it! Have a fabulous New Year! Hugs, Gloria
