New stamp, new camera

This is the first card picture I have taken with my new camera, which is actually my Christmas pressy from hubby. We went shopping last week and got it and I bought him a zoom lens for his SLR camera. We have also bought some smaller presents to unwrap on Christmas Day. There was no point putting my camera away until the big day and I couldn't wait to play around with it. It is a Nikon Coolpix and I am very pleased with the quality of the photos. It will be interesting to compare with other pics when this publishes and I look at it on the iPad.

So onto my card using snew stamp and papers from the NEC
Image - Woodware
Medium - Copics
Papers - Dovecraft Glad Tidings
Other - burlap, raffia, baker's twine, DI Vintage Photo

Challenges
Cute Card Thursday birds/animals
The Ribbon Girl any image
Bizzy Becs anything goes

That's another commissioned card off the list.

Gorgeous vintage colours and papers on this one Marianne and the robin stamp is beautiful.
That's the same camera I use and I love it too. So easy to take quality pictures for both close ups and landscapes.

Morning Lovely card and how lucky are you with a new camera. I have just got my camera Olympus out as my phone is not doing justice to my cards I am making and putting on the blog.

The weather is horrid and the lighting very poor - tried my camera and battery flat....

Just love the colours in your card.

Beautiful! I love the little robin and the bight shades of your card. The twine makes a great effect, too. I should probably start my Christmas card production, too, some time soon :)
Can't wait to see more of your creations, I'm sure the new camera will give them justice.

Marianne, this is a beautiful card. Such wonderful colouring and a gorgeous card design - I love traditional Christmas card themes and colours. I am no camera expert but I think your picture is sharper...

Your photo looks perfect, do let us know how you get on with your new camera, I'd be interested as I could do with a new one myself, think I've struggled with my 'dinosaur' for too long!!

Gorgeous card Marianne. I have had two Nikon coolpic cameras in the past and they were both excellent, I also had a Nikon DSLR which was the bees knees to me, but it got too heavy for me after 8 years of wonderful service :o)

I love the rustic feel to this design; the papers and image are beautiful :-)
The photo looks great too; really crisp and clear. I had a little compare to older photos and your photos always look good but I think maybe this is just a wee bit crisper?! The colours certainly look wonderful.

Big hugs, Kat xx
