Scooting by

When I saw there were a couple of white on white challenges I decided to make a Birthday card instead of my usual white on white Christmas or Wedding cards. Of course they are so hard to photograph especially with centura pearl card which I used for the embossing. I am trying to use my embossing folders more as I have had some of them like this one for years and years.
Image - Penny Black
Medium - Copics
Dies - MFT in and out stitched rounded square, Joy presents border
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug Happy Birthday

I just bought these MFT dies and love them so you will be seeing a lot of them. The only thing I don't get is why they also give a stitched edge to the outside as that is the piece I throw away!

Challenges
Penny Black White on white
Stamping Sensations Dies and punches
Creative Knockouts Ribbon or bow
MAWTT Happy Birthday
Creative Card Crew White on white
Graph'It Blues or Birthdays
Sweet Stampin' Something old (embossing folder), something new (MFT die)
The Ribbon Girl animals
Totally Tilda and friends gifts and balloons

Some lovely cards since I was here last, love the hedgie image. Your right I tend to make Christmas cards with the white on white theme too and overlook birthdays for this colour scheme, love your HB embossing folder, a very bold imprint on that centura pearl which is quite thick to emboss.

Marianne, this is a really lovely card. The image is super your and your colouring is fab...I really like embossing too and your design is just perfect...I think if you cut with consecutive sized dies, you may be able to make a frame? I might be wrong but the double edged stitching might work like that...?

Cute Hedgie and the folder is a golden oldie!! One of the first I bought!! Gorgeous card and love the white on white. I have a few of the Spellbinder label dies that do this too. I think you are supposed to cut around to make a frame. Then you can 3D the image within the aperture. Hugs, Carol S.xx

I'm not sure why but white on white always scares me slightly...daft really when you can make such elegant designs like this one, and the pop of colour on the image is so lovely :-)

I have been trying to get my hands on these rounded square stitched dies for ages and they are always out of stock :-( I had an order placed via Amazon and then they went out of stock so it got cancelled, so now I have done another order...fingers crossed!

I was intending to use the dies with the outside stitching as apertures; I've seen a few cards like this and it looks brilliant.

Big hugs, Kat xx
