A day spent crafting

The weather today has been such a mixture, torrential rain which flooded the lawn for a time and sunshine but what a lovely day I have had today. My good friend Lynsey came over for the day and we spent our day stamping, die cutting, punching and glittering. We both made out DT cards for the next Winter Wonderland challenge and did a layout using the same sketch. It was so interesting to see the different ways in which we create and our layouts are completely different.

Here's another card I made today using one of the fab fairies from Pollycraft. Papers are Summer Blooms from Papermania with glitter strips. The roses and cherry blossom are from Wild Orchids, charm from the Hobby House. I added lots of glitter to her wings and the toadstool and used a Sakura clearstar pen on the trim on her dress for more shine.

Here is my scrapbook layout I made today using the inspirational sketch at Creative Scrappers. The layout is entitled Liberty Belle which is the name of the riverboat at the Magic Kingdom in Florida. The little sticker is the famous cracked Liberty Bell and came from a pack of stickers I bought in America. I used an MS PATP set and stamped some stars onto the plain paper and added some faux stitching to the punched stars. I really enjoyed making the bunting, a first for me, and a technique I'll definitely try again. I am also entering this into the challenge of transport at Creative Craft and water or boats at Tuesday Taggers.
