Alice in Wonderland

I hope you have all had a good weekend. We had puring rain Saturday afternoon, on and off all day yesterday and today has been gloomy. About 5pm the sun finally decided to shine, just in time for people going back to work tomorrow after the Bank Holiday, typical! I had hoped to be back at work tomorrow but after feeling quite a bit better Thursday and Friday I have felt awful for the last 3 days and will be back to the doctor's tomorrow. This is the first bit of crafting I have done since Friday and I have spent very little time on the computer.

When I first saw these fab digi images from Spesch I knew they would be perfect for a scrapbook page with this photo of Graham meeting Alice in MGM Studios (now Hollywood Studios) in Orlando. Before I got round to buying them I was lucky enough to win 3 Spech images recently and so I chose Alice and the Queen of Hearts as 2 of my choices. I decided to convert the photo to black and white as a contrast to all the colour on the page.

I was lucky to find this paper with mushrooms in amongst some K&Co papers. I wanted to use lots of different flowers to give a real wonderland feeling. I also added some punched hearts with faux stitching to match the faux stitching around the queen's image.

Challenges:
Everybody Art Fairytale
Secret Crafter Buttons and blossoms
One Stitch at a Time Something New (digis)
The Shabby Tea Rooms Dear to my Heart
Passion for Promarkers Anything Goes

Vintage card

SECOND POST FOR TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FIRST POST AND SCROLL UP FOR CANDY, CLOSING NEXT WEEKEND.

Firstly welcome to my lovely new followers. I hope I have managed the vintage look I was trying for with this card. The image is from the Greeting Farm, papers are BG and Papermania Heather. I inked and distressed all the edges. The lace was white so I soaked it in cold tea to give it a more vintage look. The strip of green flowery ribbon on the left was the size label from a top I bought today and the wine ribbon was from the inside of another top. Flowers are Wild Orchid with punched fern leaves.

Challenges

All that scraps Lovely sketch, I love them with lots of layers
Create 4 fun Vintage card
ABC V for vintage
Crafty Creations Favourite stamp (impossible to choose just one but this is definitely in my top 10)
Creative Inspirations Distressed

You may have noticed those funky new Sugar Nellie stamps advertised on my sidebar. I found out today that I have won something from SN for publicising their new range. How great is that. No idea what I have won, but anything from SN will be lovely.I'm not sure I will have much time, if any, for crafting or blogging this weekend so enjoy yourselves and I will catch up with you as soon as I can.

A Christmas bear and some mice

It's Friday and that means another challenge at Winter Wonderland and what a sweet challenge we have for you this week. Yes, we are looking for Christmas sweets. This can be either the colour scheme and/or sweets in your design. I chose marshmallows for my colour scheme, inspired by the marshmallows in the cocoa mug. I also drew some in the top of the Forever Friend's bear's mug.

I was so inspired by Debbie's tri shutter card that I asked her for the tutorial, which you can now find on her blog. This card was much easier to make than I expected and is a great way of using up all those little bits of DP that we crafters just can't bear to throw away. I also made a tissue paper poinsettia for the centre.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Passion for Promarkers Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad Over the Edge
A spoon full of sugar Celebration
Moving along with the times Folds
Christmas Stampin' all year long Chocolate and rose

Quite a different card again for this one. I bought a sheet of Penny Black stamps at Ally Pally and just got round to stamping them up. I stamped the background card and around the image with Field of Sky stamp from Stamp in the Hand. The card is embossed with Cuttlebug bubbles and swiss dots embossing folders. I added some Sizzix die cut corners, buttons and letters, which were free from a mag ages ago.
Challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch
Penny Black Lots of dots
Secret Crafter No patterned paper
Incy Wincy Button up (prize from the Aspire to Thrive Children's charity )
Quixotic Emboss it
Simon Says Pink or blue plus green and brown

Pretty in pink

Now I am one of those cardmakers who has always been scared of trying shaped cards as I thought they looked so difficult. I love easel cards and have made the occasional gatefold but never anything like this. I think it is called a side step card but I may be wrong. I was asked to make a special card for my friend's granddaughter's 18th Birthday so decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a go.
I found some measurements for a different sized step card but couldn't find one of these so worked it out and off I went. As I used the full width of an A4 sheet of card I need to buy an A3 sheet of card to make a box so next time I make one of these I will make a smaller one, lol! Well it is for a special occasion.

The girl is Whiff of Joy and the Papermania Boutique is a stamp I had for Christmas and only used for the first time. After I made it yesterday I realised there is nowhere to write a message so today I made a matching tag with 18 on it, (Penny Black stamps), and stood it on the card so it is easily removable. Laura likes a bit of bling so there are some sparkly flowers and sparkly ribbon along with some Anita's striped ribbon and a handbag sentiment from Craftwork cards.
Challenges:
Whiff of Joy brown, yellow plus one colour
Allsorts Add a tag to a project
Totally Gorjuss Bling it on
The Crafty Pad Over the edge
A spoon full of sugar Celebration
Creative Craft Ribbons and bows
Passion for Promarkers Anything goes

As you will know from my candy post above it is our wedding anniversary on 5 June. Graham asked me what I would like for a pressy and after much thought (about a nanosecond) I said some crafting goodies please. I ordered them online and they all came today, hooray. An MS PATP set, 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders and 2 Kraftin' Kimmee stamps and I inked them up straight away and here is Lisette. I just love these quirky images, they are such fun. The cake came with her and the strawberries were a RAK from Christine in Canada.
Challenges:
Crafts 4 Eternity Fab sketch plus gingham plus food
Penny's Challenge Fruit or vegetable
Totally Papercrafts Photo inspirations (I chose strawberries)
Fussy and Fancy 3 images, 3 kinds of embellies (I chose lace, flower and charm)
Kraftin' Kimmee How charming
The Townscrapper Flowers and lace
Creative Card Crew Pink and green

Hope to see you back tomorrow for my Winter Wonderland DT card, which is another completely different shaped card! I'm on a roll now. Thankfully I am starting to feel much better and should be going back to work next Tuesday.

Life is Good

Here is the actual photo in close up.

I hope you are ready for another scrapbook page today. The photo says it all, life is good, and what a great name for a shop - Whit's End. I just had to take a photo of hubby outside this shop in Ogunquit in Maine, New England, last October. I followed the lovely sketch at Friday Sketchers. The colour scheme was inspired by his blue clothing and the American flag above the shop. I downloaded a flag from the internet, added some die cut Cuttlebug stars and the Maine sign which was from a scrapbooking set I bought in New England. Stars and stripes is the challenge at Crafty Catz and it's a man's world at Tuesday Taggers.

A card and a scrapbook page

I'm feeling a little better today thank goodness as I felt so awful yesterday. I managed to post my cards on my blog but had to leave the computer then as I felt so woozy. I hope to visit some of you las soon as I can. Thanks for all your lovely comments.

Today I have a card made using the lovely sketch at Cute card Thursday and featuring this cute pair from Lili of the Valley. Papers are Papermania and FF and I punched the flowers with 4 different punches using the same papers. I added some gems and some glitter to the flowers for the bling it on challenge at Totally Gorjuss. Furry friends is the challenge at One Stitch at a time (and this time it is furry, see yesterday's Stitchy Dragon). Happy Birthday is the theme at My partner in crafting crime and Anything Goes is at Passion for Promarkerswho are celebrating their anniversary and a celebration card is for A Spoon full of sugar.

I enjoyed making my last scrapbook page so much I thought I would try another. The photo was taken at EPCOT at Walt Disney World. For those of you who haven't been I should explain that various countries are represented and have entertainment at set times of the day. Masquerade in Italy was my fave and I knew I had to make a page with these gorgeous costumes. I picked up on the blue and also the gold and the colours from the arches. The mask was made with a stamp and some feathers. Papers are all Papermania. I am entering this into the Celebration challenge at By the Cute and Girly. If you know of any good scrapbook challenges please let me know.

Three for Monday

I started 2 of these cards on Friday evening but never had time to finish them at the weekend so here they are now plus another.

At Stampin' for the weekend they are asking you to make a card and send it a child via post pals so my card is going to Amelia-Grace whose favourite colour is turquoise. The dragon is from Stitchy, paper is Clare Curd and flowers are Primas with pearls. Hi is from a punched out letter pad I bought in America.
Other challenges:
Kaboodle Monochromatic
Passion for Promarkers Fantasy/mythology
Creative Inspirations Card for a child
Colour create soft green and aqua
Stamp something 2 of something (mine is letters)
Stamptacular Pearls and swirls
Everybody Art Sketch
One Stitch at a time Furry friends(I know he isn't furry but the challenge said they would accept feathered too and as he is a stitchy image I hope he will count).

I discovered a challenge on a couple of blogs last week called Burtonesque Dolls dedicated to Tim Burton's work. What a great and quirky director he is so I thought I must enter this fun challenge of skulls and black flowers. I coloured my rock chick black and purple, don't you just lover purple hair, for a bit of a goth look. I won a pirate stamp set in a a mag giveaway a couple of years ago and knew it had a skull stamp so that was perfect with some Prima flowers.
Other challenges
Moving along with the times Great sketch
Crafty Creations Encouragement/celebration
Cupcake Black, grey plus another colour

Both Quixotic and Die cut dreams are challenging us to use a sentiment not an image on our cards this week. I bought a snowflake set from Personal Impressions half price in January and so decided to make another Christmas card for the nicely growing pile. The corner stamp was also part of the set. I used some scraps of paper, ribbon and punched snowflakes and gems.
I used the lovely sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and am entering it into Anything Christmas at Susie and Vikki's Christmas Club.

I am really struggling with feeling woozy today cause by my labrynthitis and using the computer isn't good. After this post and links I will be shutting down so aplogies that I haven't visited as much as usual.

Last 2 weeks to enter my candy here. I have nearly reached 100 entries. I have promised to add a second prize if I reach the magic 100.

Flower garden

SECOND POST FOR TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR SOME CUTE MICE AND A TEDDY AND SCROLL UP FOR YUMMY CANDY.

I made this card inspired by the fabulous smell of the lilac in my garden. The sun is shining and it is such a beautiful day. I just adore stamps with girls in the garden and this Sarah Kay one is so lovely I went with my fave colours for this one. I played around with my blender pen and PMs and am really pleased with the results. I added some glitter to her outfit as well. The papers are Kate Knight and I used my new MS trellis punch, some Laura Ashley ribbon, a couple of butterflies and some punched flowers with pearls.
Challenges:
Create 4 fun Great sketch
Crazy 4 challenges Anything with a pocket (her jeans)
One Stop Craft Summer breeze
I love Promarkers Make your own flowers

Penny's Challenge 1 ribbon, 2 patterned papers, 3 embellishments

DT and GDT cards

It is my turn to host the challenge at Winter Wonderland and I have a sketch for you. I am so excited about this as it is my first sketch.

I hope you will find time to come and play as you could win a voucher to spend at

and/or be chosen as one of our top 3, not to mention building up that Christmas card pile.

My card features this cute couple from Gillian Roberts. Papers are BG Eskimo Kisses (how appropriate for the image). Not much of these papers left now and only 2 of these lovely Hero Arts poinsettias. I added some star bards for a change to match the star charm.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Basic Grey Punch it (punched borders and leaves with MS punches)
Secret Crafter Metal
Cupcake Blooming charming
ABC Christmas K is for Kissing
Bah Humbug Ribbon

The theme at Teddy Stampers is bedtime bears. This is my second and last GDT card from them. I decided rather than go for a sleepy bear I would use this beautiful Lili of the Valley image. Bedtime for me means following my nightly cleansing routine before bed just like this little bear. I added glossy accents to the mirror. Papers are Papermania Rose Garden. The paper pack also has some lovely sentiments and borders, both of which I used here. I layered the sentiment twice as it is rather small. Flowers are Wild Orchid with punched leaves.
This card is also for the following challenges:
Lili of the Valley Great sketch
A spoon full of sugar Cute and girly
Papertake Say it with flowers
Charisma 3D

Time for a scrapbook page

SECOND POST FOR TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR EARLIER POST AND SCROLL UP FOR CANDY.

I have been longing to start scrapbooking again but felt a bit daunted by the prospect. You see I haven't done any for such a long time and when I look back at the pages I have done I realise they are more of a cross between a photo album and a scrapbook. I have been looking at some of the great scrapbook pages in magazines and blogs and I realised that I need to remember that less is more and not try to fit 3 photos on one page and fill every available space. I need to apply all the things I have learnt about cardmaking to my scrapbooking.

I started with just one photo and this great sketch from Sketch Saturday and the idea of blast from the past for the challenge at Incy Wincy. The photo is from last year's holiday in New England. I had always wanted to have some photos taken in one of those places that have all the costumes but have been put off by the fact that you end up with one or two photos at quite a cost. The place we found in Salem put the pictures(about 50 of them) onto a CD which was so much better as we could just print out the ones we want and include a few in our slideshow CD we always make of our holidays. I added some lace to echo the lace on my beautiful dress and the flowers to match my hat. I am really pleased with the result. It is so much better than my previous scrapbook attempt. I would love to know what you think. Please give me your honest opinions, good or bad. I need to learn.

Anniversary bears

I love these Pollycraft bears and they are just perfect for a large Anniversary card as being digi you can resize them. They are coloured with PMs of course and I used a Sakura clearstar pen on the trim on her dress.

Papers are DCWV and FF. I made the flower using a Blossom Nestie and gold tissue paper, which I scrunched and rubbed with a red stamp pad and added a spacer and brad. As you can see the MS punches were out again.

I used the fab sketch from The Pink Elephant which was perfect for this size card. I love Promarkers and Fab 'n' funky want you to make your own flowers. Lastly CRAFT want a birthday or celebrations card.

Hedgies and apples

I'm pleased to say that I am feeling just a little bit better today but have been signed off work for a further week. Hopefully I will be fit enough to go back then and this buzzing in my left ear will stop. This is the longest time I have ever had off work.

Just one card from me today as I have been preparing my post for Friday's Winter Wonderland challenge which I am hosting and making my card for that challenge. I hope you will all support my challenge this week. This cute Penny Black image was a RAK from my blogging buddy Lisa. I decided to go with a very different colour scheme to my usual colours, inspired by my new MME Wild Asparagus papers. Sometimes it is good to try different colour combos. I was so pleased to find the perfect flower to match in my stash This one is from Bo Bunny. I used one of my Cuttlebug frills embossing folders, which I rarely use, but really like. Candy and sentiment from Craftwork Cards. The fab sketch is from Sketch and Stash and Penny Black challenge want flowers.

Tuesday trio

What a time I had early evening yesterday. Hubby decided to unplug the phone and plug in the new one. Unfortunately he also unplugged the broadband hub whilst I was commenting on a blog. He plugged the hub back in and the wireless connection then wouldn't work. I tried to connect it but it would only work with the wire plugged in. I then spent about 45 minuted talking to a BT engineer who had to try all sorts of things to get it working wirelessly again. What a pain.
The first of my cards today is one of the new Pollycraft digi images I bought last week. My friend asked me to make a card for one of her granddaughters to celebrate the end of her exams. She loves pink but I decided to also add some blue and burgundy. Main papers are Papermania Rose Garden with a strip of BG Euphoria. I used various flower punches and added some pearls.
Challenges:
Pollycraft Summer blooms
Simon Says Sketch
Die Cut Dreams Lace it up
Crafty Catz Petals and pearls
Paperake Say it with flowers
Quixotic Make your own flowers

I used the lovely sketch at Moving along with the times for this Lili of the Valley bear. The paper is from a pack I haven't used for ages, Dovecraft I think. I spotted them today and thought that is perfect for the U for unused stash challenge at ABC. I added a strip of green paper and a ribbon, some flowers and brushed brads for the challenge of 3 brads, 2 papers and 1 ribbon at Just Cute Bears. Lastly Allsorts want a birthday card to celebrate their birthday and blog hop.
I forgot I had this sweet little Henry stamp, which was a freebie at the Ally Pally show when you bought 4 stamps. I used the sketch at Truly Scrumptious which was perfect for the challenge of round and round at Totally Gorjuss.

Monday 17 May 2010

Three very different cards today

My cards are like buses today, none for 2 days and then 3 show up! As regular followers will know I am off work with labrynthitis and getting fed up with having it. It has been a week now but I am told it usually takes a couple of weeks to clear up. Graham took me out at the weekend. As much as I am enjoying being at home crafting and reading not being able to do much else isn't so good and it was nice to get out. Saturday we went to the garden centre and craft shop where I wanted to buy the new Henbury Lane paper. They had sold out of it so I bought some MME paper instead and some lace. Well I couldn't come out empty handed could I? Yesterday we went into Norwich as it is so much quieter on a Sunday and I needed some more library books. We had lunch and did a bit of shopping. Norwich is renowned for its shops but only has one store in the city centre which sells crafts and no Henbury Lane paper either but I did manage to get the last pack of Rose Garden. We wer going back to the car and I couldn't go another step. Went for coffee and hubby said my face was as white as the cup!

Well enough rambling on to the cards.

The first one is for The Sugar Bowl challenge. They always have such great sketches and an extra which was recycle. I used some silver ribbon which I cut off a top. I don't know about you but I can't bear having those ribbons inside a top to hang it up with so I take them off straight away and pop them in my ribbon box. Papers are my new Papermania Rose Garden and I used the same papers to punch out the flowers.

The next great sketch is from Creative Card Crew made using a Lili of the Valley stamp which Lynsey bought me when I left my last job. Papers are my new MME Wild Asparagus. I added some die cut swirls and gems rather than flowers so the card could be used for male or female. Charisma's challenge is sweet treats ie food or drink.

Lastly this fun image was a freebie from Bugaboo and is perfect for the challenge of make me laugh at Digital Tuesday. I used the fab sketch at CRAFT for this one. The ladybird foam stickers I bought in America and the sentiment was done on the PC.
A final word from me. I have 63 entries for my candy so far. If I reach 100 I will add a second prize so there will be 2 lucky winners so spread the word.

Friday 14 May 2010

An anniversary and a fairy

SECOND POST FOR TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY WW DT CARD AND SCROLL UP TO ENTER MY CANDY.

Have you seen the new LOTV tutorial blog? I watched some of the videos last night and had a go at blending a colour into white using the blender pen. I never knew you could do this but I am so pleased with the result. What do you think?

This card is so me, I won't want to part with it. I have loved this image since LOTV first brought it out and finally bought it at Ally Pally. Is there anything I didn't buy there you must be thinking, lol! The background paper is BG Wisteria and the flowers are Prima hydrangeas with roses from Wild Orchid. The lovely sketch, which I rotated is from Stamptacular and there is a fairy challenge at Creative Inspirations.

The sketch at I love Promarkers was just perfect for this anniversary card. More BG papers from a candy win, thanks Mandy. I used my MS simple scallop border punch rather than hearts for a change but added some punched and gem hearts. The image is from CC designs and at Anyone for Anya you can now use CC designs as well as the Greeting Farm. Their challenge this week is numbers so this first anniversary card fits perfectly. Celebrate something is this week's challenge at Stamp Something and Totally Papercrafts want a wedding or anniversary card. Lastly Cute Card Thursday want a card for someone special. I felt her outfit was a bit plain so stamped a flower on her top and added some Sakura clearstar pen. More Wild Orchid flowers meaning I will need to make a box for this card as the middle rose is too large to get in an envelope.

Thanks for your good wishes to get well from yesterday's post. The labrynthitis is really bothering me today. It doesn't affect my cardmaking but does affect my typing so apologies if I haven't visited or if there are some typos in my comments. Have a great weekend everyone. Hope the sun shines on you.

See amid the Winter's snow

See amid the Winter's snow is the theme this week at Winter Wonderland so we are looking for your snowy creations. I used the colour scheme of pink, burgundy and green for my Pink Gem stamp for the challenge at A Gem of a Challenge. Main papers are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. Not much of these papers left now. The snowflake was made using Sizzix and Cuttlebug dies. The fab sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Hopefully you can see the stars in the horizontal strip from my MS border punch and the lashings of glitter, The sentiment is from Alissa's Paper Town. I am also entering my card into the great outdoors challenge at Crafty Calendar and punched borders at Bah Humbug.

My stack of Christmas cards is growing nicely. We hope to see you lots of you joining in again this week. You could be chosen as one of our top 3 or win some fab digis from Delicious Doodles.

Thursday 13 May 2010

No girly colours today

Now you may have noticed that I have had time to do a lot of crafting this week. The reason is that I have been off work sick. I started feeling much better yesterday and got up early this morning to go to work. Having got ready for work and just about to leave I realised I didn't feel as well as yesterday so went to see the doctor this morning. I have a virus and labyrinthitis, which affects your balance and explains why I don't feel quite with it some of the time and a bit woozy. She said it affects your whole body and is the cause of my stomach pains too. I expected her to say I would be OK in a couple of days but she said it takes a couple of weeks and has signed me off work for a week from today, which was a bit of a shock. At least crafting is something you do sitting down so I have been able to do that plus some reading. I'm not one to sit about doing nothing or lie in bed when I am unwell, unless it is something that is really severe of course.

So onto the first card which is another of those LOTV cute bears. I received a lovely pack of images and Wild Rose Studio papers from my blogging buddy Lisa today and couldn't wait to use them. The brown paper is one of those. I added some buttons and Sizzix cut corners.
Challenges:
Incy Wincy mint, chocolate and cream
Crafty Calendar The Great Outdoors
Cards for Men Outdoors
Magical Crafts Lovely sketch
A spoon full of sugar 3 DPs, 3 buttons
Paperplay Brown and any colour(s)

The second card is a Little Clare stamp from Ally Pally. I just couldn't resist these 2 giraffes. Background papers is another RAK from Lisa. I found a rub on in my stash which fitted the image perfectly. Flowers are Prima with added pearls. The great sketch is from Create 4 fun.

Wednesday 12 May 2010

Three more cards

This week's challenge at Kraftin Kimmee is yummy neapolitan, pink, chocolate and vanilla. I love these colours and they suit Clara so much. The sentiment was created on the PC, flowers are Prima with card candy. Pearls from the Hobby House. The lovely sketch is from Allsorts.

Now this card was a real challenge. Crafts 4 eternity had a great sketch but also want a quote and use something wooden. The colour challenge at Colour Create is khaki, aqua, brown and cream. Once I decided on making a wicket out of cocktail sticks and found the right colour papers the card started to come together. The aqua paper is Doodlebug. I don't know where I would be for men's cards without these Dovecraft papers which gave me the cricket balls and the quote. The image is Clare Curd. Other challenges are:
One Stitch at a time Going Dotty
Cards for men Outdoors

This last card really took me out of my comfort zone, which is the challenge at Tuesday Taggers. I wanted to make a jingle bell card for Susie and Vikki's Christmas club and ABC Christmaswho also want you to add something punched. The only bells I could find in my stash were on a set of stamps I won last year. I added them to some card embossed with Cuttlebug d'vine swirls. I added lots of glitter to the holly and a row of punched stars. I ended up with a very traditional looking card, not my type of card at all, but the sort I have been asked to make occasionally in the past. I'm not sure I really like it but now it is made thought I would post it. The fab sketch is from Friday Sketchers.

Tuesday 11 May 2010

How charming

The sweet couple are of course Lili of the Valley, definitely some of my current fave stamps. It is always difficult to know what papers to use for wedding cards. This is for an order and I have no idea what colour the couple will be having for flowers etc but I hope they like this colour scheme. Papers are K & Co. I edged the borders with my MS heart punch and added some ribbon. The large hearts are a new MS punch from Ally Pally. The beautiful flower is Bo Bunny from a candy win. I didn't like the green brad so I changed it for a silver heart and added a heart charm and some pearls. Wedding Day is a Sizzix die. I added some glitter to her train and used glitter card for the hearts and words for a bit of sparkle.
Challenges:
By the Cute and Girly Celebration
Charisma Weddings
Simon Says Birthdays/Celebrations
CRAFT Wedding/birthday
One Stop Craft Wedding wishes
Passion for Promarkers Strawberries and cream
PapertakeShiny, sparkly and special
Sketch Saturday Great sketch which I rotated
Lili of the Valley Here comes Summer

I really don't use Penny Black images enough. They are so cute and I just love this cat ballerina. They have a fab sketch at Penny Black this week and a blog hop. The green paper is BG Wisteria, the pinks are all Papermania. The pink circle has been embossed with a Cuttlebug music folder. I used my MS simple scallop border punch and added a Craftwork cards sentiment. Flowers are Prima, and the spacer, brad, pearls and ballet shoe charm are all from the Hobby House. The colour challenge of pink and green is for Totally Gorjuss and Birthday something is the challenge at Stamp Something.
If you like these charms you could win some by entering my candy at the top of my blog.

A fairy and a footballer

This is my favourite sort of card. A girly image, glitter, pink and purple, pretty borders and flowers. I also love easel cards and haven't made one for a few weeks.

Here's a close up of the front of the card.

The fab fairy was a Friday freebie from the very generous Paula at Pollycraft. She has a some gorgeous new images out today so I had to treat myself to a few. There is a also a great sale on some of the clear stamps and a couple of Christmas ones hopped into my basket. The purple paper is from Craftwork cards, another purchase from Ally Pally. Pink papers are Papermania capsule and FF pink parfait. I used 2 different MS border punches. I had a look through my stash and found this metal sentiment which matches the card so well. I also found some odd flowers which I put together and the fabric sparkly butterfly.

Crafting on a wet Saturday afternoon

As predicted the weather here has been awful, cold and raining all day long. I coloured these images last night and after a morning's housework spent the afternoon cardmaking. This is another of my WOJ stamps I bought at the Ally Pally show. I layered her onto a Nellie cut oval, embossed with daisy Cuttlebug folder which I finished off with pink shimmer chalk. Roses are Wild Orchid. The lovely sketch is from Whiff of Joy, Everybody Art want pastel colours and Oh Baby is the challenge at Quxotic.

The second card uses a Friday freebie from Pollycraft for their challenge here comes the sun. Paper is K&Co, pearls from the Hobby House. Kaboodle are celebrating Spring and the fab sketch is from Moving along with the times.
